agreed. it's not a fact of whether the space of Blu-ray is needed (at this moment) it's the fact that the developers are no longer constrained by the amount of space that they have to utilize and work with.
EDIT: the sequel will be even more crazier no doubt and i have great faith that Naughty Dog will take our breaths away again and again with this franchise.
both sides can produce great games with different artstyles and mechanics and it all comes down to personal preference. western devs tend to cater to the western audience while japnanese devs cater to eastern preferences. i prefer easterns (and anime) conventions but there are a lot of awesome stuff being made with the western conventions. i don't lean towards any side by too much and get the games that interest me.
it's a shame that innovative games like this don't get the love they deserve... i'll be getting this for sure.

hope all you GTA fans get a great game... i'll pass on this since i'm not into this series.
oh well, it would have been uber sweet, but i can live... i'll have DMC4 & Burnout to hold me off... plus, well, a few other PS3 games and PSN games... no worries here, but it would have been damn sweet though.
i was already hyped for this game and now that it's this cheap i'm even more stoked! can't wait to play it! i just wished it was available on PSN as well for remote play but UMD is always good.
i love how sony always releases innovative games on their platforms and not just release generic stuff all the time. other platforms, especially, *ahem* no names mentioned, need to do

i think this game will cater to the creative nerds, kids and those who are big fans of the platforming genre. My daughter is more hyped for this game than i am and i'm already a LittleBigFan of this game :P
sony does need to put a lot of emphasis on its marketing and try to appeal to the casual gamers and younger audience than to the hardcores who only like to shoot things with guns. LBP has a lot of potential.

EDIT: I'm not a big fan of racers but this game is really, really fun (well, the demo, that is) so i will be picking this up since i'm having such a fun time with the demo. the review was pretty good as well and i could understand the Cons the author has pointed out.
Sony needs to stress this out on every PS3 box and multiplayer game package. The casual consumer problably doesnt even know that it's free compared to Lives yearly fee.
why i won't be buying a 360 any time soon. last gen i supported the Xbox solely and to have them pull the plug on every owner like that is just wrong. i have no respect for that sort of business practice. i wouldn't be surprised if they brought out a new xbox in 2009 and drop all the 360 owners like they did the original xbox. they've lost my trust.
from PSN running at 720p... nothing extra wow about the graphics, imo, but it does look good...
I will be neglecting food, sleep and a social life the minute this gets in my hands... i'll be smelling the case, booklet and disc all the way home until i finally feed this baby into my ps3. then... say goodbye to Earth until i complete it for the 3rd time.
between XIII and Versus... one is colorful and the other very dark... i'm hyped for both, but it's good to play as a female lead though since it doesn't happen much
