Rebel against the oppressive PSL!!!
...in the end, you're both surviving off rumored content, so hopefully you can take each other down.
when it comes to PS3 vs 360, so I have no problem believing their comparisons.
Eurogamer/Gametrailers are all about the 360, whereas Play/Gamepro are hardcore PS3. IGN are definitely fair, though I'll always remember their Lair mockery...though it was warranted.
and disliked both. Loved SO3...just my take though, not everyone's.
a buy. Just hope Tri-ace cleans up their act after two dissapointments exclusive to the 360...
This game is going to be a technical mess SOCOM style if they don't do a larger scale, open beta. 256 online...seriously. Invite only closed beta? Yeah, have fun with that Sony, Zipper...seriously, I want this game more than any this holiday, but reg flags are popping up!
Gust flys under the radar in Japan in a way VERY similar to what, say, NIS does here in NA. It's about internet and word of mouth, but nothing direct in the way of an ad on a site. Rather, an interview article or preview, things gaming media do anyways, but with Gust it's all about being as open as possible to get as much out there with such coverage.
Cheap and sometimes effective, it won't provide Final Fantasy numbers though...22,000 is great and I REALLY hope this game get'...
well this kills half the longevity of Starcraft II. This is what helped keep SC on it's feet for so long. LAN is more than just a part of the reason why Blizzard's original game became a classic.
Very angry about this!
That's not saying much...
Better luck next time. It's still a good game judging by the scores it's getting, but it's no AAA title worthy of being mentioned in the same sentence as Half-Life, Halo or Killzone 2. At least now the Wii has something capable online. Looking forward to trying it out!...as a rent.
Was by far and large the best version. BUT it is true that this has been re-released too many times. Square/Sony can put this up if they want...don't know if I'll bother buying it. I may, but I'd rather take FF IV/VIII/IX/Tactics any day over this on the PSN. Remember, FFV and VI were released on PSone, so they could make their way to the store and onto my PSP!
How can you people defend this game. Morgenfell I understand (huge PS3 fanboy), but the rest of ya...man.
1) The features on the box aren't even in the game (as mentioned above)
2) I've had this since launch. Every patch did help but never made the game a quality online experience the likes of KZ2, Halo 3, COD4...NOTHING.
3) Lag/Framerate issue free? Uh, no. Anyone playing this knows that horsesh!t
4) Way to go Morgenfell with the d...
My favorite PSX game. But I'm with others, where the hell is Fat Princess?
Of course, in the end, we won't know for sure till tomorrow.
You lose the packaging cost and a bunch of overhead expenses. If it's the same price, the consumer is getting screwed.
Even PS3 lowballing VGChartz has Infamous, a brand new IP, at 420,000 copies sold.
Flop? No...freaking idiot. It's already doubled the XBOX360 sales of Red Faction, which has received equal marketing.
Demon's Souls shall have to satisfy my RPGing in fall to hold me till WKC and FFXIII.
I'm completely indifferent as a multiplatform gamer. That said, I'd buy the PS3 version for the free online (not a PC gamer). I just hope that EA ports it properly. Orange Box had some framerate/loading issues, but aside from that, was completely playable. I hope those issues are cleared up, but the Source Engine struggles on PS3. Hence why Fat Man Gabe doesn't like the console. His "all physics no flash" engine that he and his company are milking to no end just isn't great on the S...
Okay. That was about as vague as it could get.
That said, if it IS PS3 exclusive this time, the fee situation will be interesting. Free PSN, seperate charging Square-Enix? Or, will FFXIV be the excuse Sony needs to usher in online fees? Time shall tell. I'm saying early 2011 release OR holidays 2011 when M$ multis it at next year's E3
If it's got solid software support, it's bought. That and a little better hardware reliability. Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo, who cares? As long as the games are there, it's all good! That's why I love my PS3 right now, hot n' cold lately with my 360 (though last year was killer and Ninja Blade is an underrated gem) and hate my shovelware Wii.
XII was a lame duck, very boring, poor story and dry characters. X was incredible. Tied with VI as being the best imo. Square needs to get back to that formula to make sure XIII doesn't blow.
Sony closes the gap by a massive 6,000 units every week in Japan! Man, I love N4G!
