there will be xbox 3 and it will have better reliability which is the only reason people are holding off to buy 360 this generation. Otherwise price is very attractive.
499 is not expensive for what you get but casual gamers are 70% more than hardcore and 499 is expensive. You can buy 360 on 199 and play pretty much same game where you pay 499 for ps3 to play. I know some ps3 exclusives are very attractive coming this x-mas but more than 70% gamers don't even buy 10 games for entire generation of console. And I am sure there are more than 10 very good titles are available on 360.

In fact, I just brought Killzone day before yesterday and playing it right now, Thanks to my 60 gig PS3. Game sux but it has very good potential too. Guns are detail, Camera movement when walking, complete bottom configuration, environment is pretty good too. It just doesn't have war feeling in game. Overall, game is ahead of its time. PS2 didn't have the spec to run game the way it should be.
PS3 is here to stay long time, considering all the untapped potential and packed with features...
