I don't like installation either but I am more than happy to have installation than disk getting scratch and console breaking.
I buy all my multiplat on PS3. At least, I can play games with peace of mind. It's more like long term investment than short term benefit for me.

Now, LBP will be all over youtube. Entire world will be watching this game and wanting PS3 to play. Since, LBP will be attracting all casual gamers to jump in next gen. Obviously, Casual gamer are way big than hardcore gamer in number.

i don't use my ps3 for anything other than gaming besides I watch blu-ray sometime. I use my laptop with my 40" TV 'coz i have hdmi output on laptop to check game trailers and videos or watch netflix instant movies. Sorry, I don't get excited for extra features that ps3 offers. I like to see more dedicated server to play games.
you have some valid point but you can't sell console without games. It has to be balanced.
360 = cheap + game + unreliable hardware
wii = right price + casual game
ps3 = pricey + game + solid machine + brand name.
That's why wii is topping 'coz there are more casual gamers than hardcore. 360 and ps3 are check and balance. If 360 didn't have hardware problem, with that price it would beat ps3 this generation but they are neck to neck right now 'coz PS3 is too exp...
