No, I'm not buying another XB1 to splitscreen. May buy it used later on, but not new. I thought splitscreen multiplayer was out, but campaign was still splitscreen. This is very disappointing to those who play splitscreen and not in separate rooms or houses.

Regardless if you like the game or not or if everyone thinks Battlefront looks great, CoD will still be the top sold game in 2015.

More games like Halo 5 will do it. I bought mine with the recent 1 TB, 3 games and $50 for 399. But my PS4 is ready for SFV exclusive.
Their mommy will buy them a PS4 too if they are good.
Of course it is money. However, people say CoD is dieing, but preorder levels are way above Ghost and AW levels, just not BO2 yet. Some can argue it is to play the Beta for a week and then cancel, but whatever. This and SFV will sell millions of units. Money well spent.

I enjoy my PS4, but my XB1 just showed up today with this deal. Chose the Elder Scrolls. The games will show up later this week, but have been downloading all the past games with gold and Neverwinter. Ready for Halo 5.
Ask the 3rd party developers what they want to see also. Make it not just a tad more powerful than PS4, but actually next gen.
Full BC 2 years ago and a kinectless system....I still would have bought a PS4, but maybe would have got a XB1 by now also. Hoping for a $400 to $450 1TB bundle with Halo 5 and Elite controller.
Saw backwards compatibity, then limited to a few games. Then saw this controller...then $150. Wow!...Then....oh :( ...typical MS story since 2013.

A set of modified Wii controllers with a pressable analog versus a D pad and a side button for the middle finger seems much simpler. Then again, here is where they should have partnered with Kinect more versus Xbox one main controller.

I think your list of 4 below is spot on.
Thsee games, like some of them or not, will be a huge focus. If they got CoD rights for BO3 and Battlefront, they will push this bigtime. Then add on the other 2 as exclusive. I'm hoping for a PS4 controller with back buttons as well, since xbox is teasing a better gaming controller.
If you buy digital and have data caps like Suddenlink in a family, then not redownloading big games can be a big deal.
Or they prefer more social interaction with their family than a headset.
