is using xbox Jan sales and PS3 feb sales...it is completely wrong. Do us all a favour and report it as such.
I am going by NPD numbers directly and not the article
Jan 2009 sales for PS3 were 203,300
Feb 2009 sales for PS3 were 276,000
Not sure why this is up for debate. You're harrassing me when I DID take the time to verify NPD and this article is completely wrong in its assumptions.
NPD doesn't work like that...it doesn't follow complete months and sometimes has 4 weeks sometimes 5:
Jan for NPD was Jan 4th to 31st
Feb for NPD was Feb 1 to Feb 28
Mar for NPD will be Mar 1 to April 4
April will be April 5 to May 2
So Jan was 203,300/28= 7260 per day
So Feb was 276,000/28= 9857 per day
Why are you using Xbox sales for January in your calculations?

Largest increase amongst the 3 consoles month over month but still disappointing for SONY year over year with basically flat results while Wii and 360 increased year over year but substantial amounts.

1.5 years ago for the defunct SONYPROTECTIONGROUP.com website and got raked over the coals on N4G for it....(it had more to do with the name of the website and its owner than my report methinks)
1.5 years later and the results are STILL the same. PS3 and PSP have a higher percentage of good and better games than other consoles and the lowest percentage of crapware.
