I wanted to ask a question on 360 HD. Since Xbox games do not use HD-DVD on their games how does the 360 put out true HD? Is the whole game installed on the hard drive then put out in HD? If so each game would have to go through an installation process like the PC games do no? This is an honest question?
I thought it was CD-ROM drive. :)
I run 1280 x 1024. Whats your point? You can't disagree because you don't know, you couldn't know if my system could you run Bioshock at full graphics unless you had what i had (and it does by the way). Just cause you built an expensive pc that doesn't mean the rest of us, with older pc's, can't run games at full graphics. I know what the min and req specs say, but I also know I've played the entire game on my PC on max graphics.
I'll buy Gears of War on my PC it's a better version anyway.
The game will feature five new singleplayer chapters, a new "King of the Hill" multiplayer game mode, three new multiplayer maps, a game editor, and the first and last showdown with the infamous Brumak boss. "Once you fire it up on the PC...it's almost like an entirely new game," remarked Bleszinski. the Windows version's singleplayer campaign-- which Bleszinski compared to a director's cut DVD--c...
I can play UT3 demo and Bioshock max graphics 6800 ultra, amd 64 athlon xp, 1.5 ram.
"With this extra content heading only to the PC, the question arises: will it ever be coming to Xbox 360 owners? The answer, it turns out, is complicated. So much has changed to the engine for Gears PC that it would need to be entirely reworked again in order to port it back to the Xbox 360. "Putting that content back on the Xbox 360 would be a huge hurdle," said Fergusson.
It doesn't take as much as you think. I have a 6800 ultra and can max out Bioshock.
Correct me if I'm wrong but havn't HD DVD players been cheaper in cost compared to Blu Ray players for awhile? If price was the only issue HD DVD would be winning right now.
would have to sell more than PS3's and stand alone players combined. Don't see that happening.
I never judge a game by the demo. Example - I thought the Heavenly Sword Demo was average, but I love the actual game. I know I'm buying this game anyways so I will probably not download the demo so I can have a better experience with the full game.
You are, my friend, very dumb. If what you said was true then the PS3 exclusives would look like crap, and my friend they look awesome.
And for the three people who disagreed your just as dumb.
Lair has little to no framerate issues. What are you talking about?
The PS3 and the Wii were not available for buyers last Christmas, they were sold out everywhere (beacuse they just launched the consoles). There are people who wanted them but were unable to get them. This is really the first Christmas for the PS3 and Wii for those people who didn't want to wait in line for two days to get a launch console. This Christmas will sell plenty of PS3's, Wii's, and yes even 360's.
Just wondering what XMB is? Is it in game chat?
@ wageslave
Please give some examples of the games your talking about. Remember the subject is graphics not added features to the game.
No spin on this at all, if the game is a 360 port to PS3, 360 version seems like it will always be better. However when they program for each system individually from scratch is a different story entirely (COD4, Assassins Creed) we will have to wait and see. That being said there will be several games for the PS3 that will continue to be ports so this may convince to buy a 360. I'll buy ported games on the 360 and games program individually on the PS3.
Will this game be another 360 port to the ps3?
Since I buy games strictly on reviews. If I rent it and think it's great it won't matter cause the reviews won't make it an AAA title. Oh well.
Now how stupid does that sound.
Why not create new cards that cannot be copied? Ship those in the new booster packs, even change the cards completely (names barcode and such).
If what players are saying is true that the PS3 does in fact upscale, then it would only happen if people remove 720p and 1080i from the display settings. Only then would it force the game to output in it's not native res. (Fantastic Four does this) But if all options are selected the PS3 outputs the game in it's native res. I don't have the game yet so I can't test it.
