IMHO we are far more impressed by clever graphical flourishes like the Sonic Statuette hanging from the mirror in Sega's "Rad Mobile" than any stupid ray traced reflections, no matter how realistic.

Sony saved VR for me. I debated finally upgrading consoles to Current gen for months before Black Friday. Was tempted to go with Xbox One X. I was excited that I would see some of my old Xbox games at better resolution. But then it struck me: Have I learned nothing from the years of paying for better PC graphics cards to get better resolution only to find that it did nothing for the enjoyment?
