I still don't understand how it makes sense rewarding someone who has owned an xbox since the dawn of its creation means giving them a fancied up overstock of the same item.
Why not give these so called loyal customers the new console, or even a severely reduced price on the new console, or hell, even early access to the next gen console. Now that's a reward.
I've been pretty much zombie'd out BUT I hear really great things about DayZ. It also seems like there is a lot of potential for unintentional hilarity. =)
good point! I also think price point has a lot to do with it. Who wants to pay $60(+) for an innovative game that is executed poorly? It's a financial risk for publishers and consumers. This is why innovative ideas seem to seep in rather than hit us over the head. IMO.
I agree about the tone. Although the project certainly hadn't intended to be that way, it seems to reflect how the writers felt about the conference this year.
There are a lot of solid titles coming out so perhaps it is just a matter of E3 being so over hyped in recent years that expectations surrounding the event announcements have become too unrealistic.
I personally think the system is a good idea. It never existed when I was a kid though so I played some pretty mature titles.
(i don't think i turned out any the worse for it either)
Ultimately a parent can choose for the child regardless of the rating system so I think it probably does more good than harm.
That's a shame. :\ I can't help but wonder how M the MO would be after such time. I guess if you've still got a core group to play with...?
love this game.
Sheesh, nothing like interrupting a panel that is actually interesting. o_o
Looks like it was a great Expo.
I haven't really enjoyed any of the Max Payne franchise to date. Your preview shows that there is room to be optimistic for this addition to the franchise.
Love steam. I probably use it more than anything else. =)
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. =)
NYCC looks like it is going to be a great time this year. Can't wait to hear more about Super Hero Squad Online. =)
Zumba is such an awesome workout. This new game looks like the next best thing to an actual instructor or the Zumba DVD series. And of course the cinematic looks like tons of fun. =)
*wish? ;-)
I had the chance to play the demo of this game. It is going to be great for early learners. It would do well in a house with many children under the age of 6 or 7 or encouraging an older sibling to play with a younger one.
Steam, from a user perspective, has yet to be beat. I sincerely doubt Origin will be 'the one'.
I love pre-order incentives but I wish they were the same across all retailers.
Great article.
I was a huge BBCard collector as a kid so I love the idea of Topps cards along side the game.
lol. In that case, how about rewarding those of us who lived through multiple RRODs and still own a 360? ;-)
