It doesn't need to go next-gen. If it does then Sony might as well kill off the PS3 like Microsoft does with their old consoles in which case the PS4 won't be worth buying either.

I wonder if they'll end up putting this on PC too. I mean PC gamers already got a taste of Tekken characters with SFxTK so I don't see why they wouldn't put this as well as all future Tekken games on PC.

So I guess this game will be a bit easier then. The first Payday must've got its difficulty from Demon's Souls and the first Payday was pretty hard (especially if you didn't have a good team). This one should be easier than the first Payday considering Demon's Souls is harder than Dark Souls.
Maybe they're not making a new engine so they can put their games on both PS3 & PS4 to make more of a profit.

It is with PS4 focusing more on multiplat development now and basically forcing devs to use the Vita for PS4 games. Sony is just following what Microsoft did last gen with their focus on multi plat, online fees, and even down to the little stuff like including mics with the system (so you can expect the PS4 online community to be the worst this time compared to the Xbox One).
It just rehashed rhythm games from last gen.
