Spelunky, oh dear God!
counting the days of both, this and Dark Souls 2.
The ones who remember how games used to be will be extinct within the next 10 years, sadly.
Most probably there will be few to none who actually lived those days and are still around to remind them. Yes it's us and them just like now and then.
The "them" i'm talking about are the torch carriers of gaming who their fondest memories wont go back to more than games such as Halo, GTA, CoD, Kill Zone, God of War and Gears of War.. and they're...
impressive visuals no doubt since it's on current gen while Dark Souls is on last gen but no comparison in term of gameplay experience because Dark Souls 2 will deliver a unique single player experience while Deep Down is just an online-only game.
and because of that; Dark Souls > Deep Down.
I advise you not.
pure art and so was Onimusha 2's
indeed.
damn I too wish I didn't read that title. keep in spoiling key gameplay elements like this and it will ruin the element of surprise which we all favor.
but damn that's exciting!
who disagrees with that or the poster's comment below it?! it's just mind boggling how negative some people are!
well spoken my friend.
it don't think it will but I hope one day Konami develops a 2D castlevania on par with SotN (and ZOE3 in compliment to your Jehuty avatar). if you want a game that has similar gameplay features try Darksiders II.
two current gen games I can't wait to experience and conclude this generation with; LoS2 and Dark Souls 2.
both coming to PC as well which well offer a much more refined visual experience at least resolution and framerate wise.
though I liked God Of War, this negative comparison of each and every game in the genre to it directly is annoying and absurd in my humble opinion.
God of War did not invent the genre. it was Devil May Cry who succeeded in putting it on the success path then you have Rygar and Lament of Innocence came to place the Castlevania world on the same track.
no doubt, God Of War is a game that vitalized and stylized the genre in a great way in 3 main aspects; gamepla...
I second that.
Try Puzzle Dimension and Nightsky.
if went all the way back to Super Mario to reflect a belonging to that era then like Phoceenatic said, Doom and Half Life should've been there and not only that but many genre defining games should be in the list.
great games nonetheless and a fun read in a good way.
she looks like Gemma Arterton.
Agreed.
One of my most wanted games of 2014.
the xbox installment was a lot of fun. unfortunately this one may not have a single player mode.
how deep is your gap?
Castlevania Lords of Shadow 2 and Dark Souls 2 FTW.
