i wasn't really fussed about this until i played the definitive edition when it came to games with gold and really enjoyed and completed it in one sitting so will be picking up rottr day one for xbox one.
i think it was a smart move on microsoft/crystal dynamics part to put the definitive edition on games with gold a couple months before this releases to give people who haven't played it yet a taste of what is to come.
i think you have driveclub mixed up with project cars my friend as driveclub does not play like that the weather has almost no effect on the driving mechanics of the game, on the other hand project cars does. when it starts to rain the car starts to lose grip on the track and if its a rear wheel drive the back end starts to kick out.. this does not happen in driveclub whatsoever, the weather in driveclub is just for looks nothing else and has little to no effect on handling.

that was exactly what i thought when i watched it, wouldnt call it a remaster as such tbh more of a port with some minor improvements but hey people will disagree regardless.

it was one of the best along side the ps3 and 360 and offered equally as good games (most 1st party ones at least) just because one console aint as powerful as the other does not mean it cant give you a great gaming experience, look at history for example. the n64 had faster hardware than the ps1 but ps1 was alot more popular because of the variety of games it had to the n64, the xbox and game cube they both were significantly more powerful than the ps2 but again ps2 ...
not everyone cares bout specs you know, the xbox one does not have to be the most powerful console to be successful, as long as the games are good thats all that matters.

i think microsoft should stop talking and put money into game studios like bizarre creations and dice and bring back project gotham racing and rallisport challenge.
project cars is a really good racer and takes me back to the Toca days on ps1 ps2 and xbox, even tho it has its flaws on consoles it still brings a very addictive experience (currently on season 6) same as driveclub bought a ps4 a couple of weeks ago and been getting right into that game and almost finished the driveclub tour (trying to complete every star) as frustrating as it is lol.
forza horizon 2 is a fantastic game and is what test drive unlimited should have been imo, very addictive gameplay and reminds me alot of dirt 2 (another fantastic game)
all 3 games in this comparison are great racing games, i have project cars on xbox one and drive club on ps4 (obviously), and will be purchasing forza 6 soon then GT7 when that comes out.
phil you should focus on xbox and not on what sony might be doing, how about getting more first party devs or getting true exclusives that are not on pc to make the xbox a relevant purchase for people that have not yet bought one.
stop throwing money at devs for timed exclusives like TROTTR and actually build new dev studios or build up the ones you own like Rare and help them show their past potential.

i could care less what console is more powerful the games do the talking and i for one am enjoying games on both and see no major difference between the two systems.
both systems show a significant leap from the ps3 and xbox 360 and both have an excellent library of current and upcoming games, thats what matters most.

just like there are compromises on ps4 to make games look impressive. here are a couple of examples.

wow the car models in forza 1 still look really impressive and thats after 10 years, goes to show what the original xbox was truly capable off.
