Just a few years ago Square-Enix came out of a period of massive financial losses. They need this game to be on as many platforms as possible.
The biggest surprise of e3 was not the announcement of a Final Fantasy VII remake, but rather that it's not playstation console exclusive. That's the real megaton. The same goes for Shenmue III, which is only getting a physical release on PC.
My favorite part was seeing the herd from a distance. Epic and awe inspiring. Truly great visuals.

Im contrast Madden was doing higher number 20 years ago, and a game like GTA V, had passed 52 million in just 2 years
I was so excited about this controller and then I saw the price. Absolutely absurd.

If you ask this question here on N4G, which is primarily a site for Sony fans, most people will tell you that Sony won E3.
