This article made some really good points (although it was quite difficult to read lol ).
The PS4 might be very much like the PS3 in terms of specifications. All Sony need to do is beef up the RAM, GPU memory & architecture (Maybe a custom made GPU), and implement a more advanced version of the CELL. By doing this, Sony is sure to release a console that can be priced correctly, yet maintain BC with PS3 games. The CELL was ahead of its time, and SONY, TOSHIBA and IBM have alre...
Since SCEJ are publishing this title, i can imagine they would offer a considerable amount of development support and influence on this title.
I am afraid that Microsoft is turning the game industry into something else. If this continues, the industry will inevitably crash.
And i must say Eidos is undeniably silly to publicly admit that they are favoring xbox360 owners with exclusive content, once again exposing their game to low sales on the PS3. When PS3 owners see things like this, they arent encouraged to buy into a product that M$ uses as an opportunity to get one step closer to their monopoly.
I wou...
"***We don't want the PlayStation 3 to be the overwhelming loser, so we want to support them. But we don't want them to be the overwhelming winner either, so we can't support them too much.***
this is square's new moto:
**screw sony to make everything even this time around.**
sony hit 100 million twice with ps1(102 million) and ps2(130+ million).they would rather release games across all platforms than hope for sales just with sony fans.same thing i...
The Second pic in the link provides more evidence to what i have previously guessed: Final Fantasy 13 is being simultaneously developed for the PS3 and Xbox360. Seeing and Xbox360 pad and a PS3 pad on the table at the same time could be a coincidence? Maybe it is. But its too close to ignore.
I personally hope bioshock sells very well. It deserves it. Having minor technical problems like these could be simply be because of the Difficulty associated with running games smoothly on the PS3 using the UE3, However, it will definitely make PS3 owners feel 2k games haven't used the 1 year port time properly. There is no question as to the PS3's capability. Previous releases have proved what the system is capable of achieving. This is most likely a case of "Wrong tools for the job&qu...
" September 30, 2008 - Sony appears to have a handful of surprises planned for next week's Tokyo Game Show. Actually, make that two handfulls! The company shared today the list of titles that will be in its booth at Japan's biggest gaming event. More important than what's on the list, however, is what isn't. Sony has nine unannounced first party PS3 games set for the show. It also made note of two unannounced third party PS3 titles, one each from Konami and Irem."
Finally ...
I think i might give it a try, its already on my 'to buy' list. Im not into FPS games, but if it has a good story im willing to engage myself.
We really need to support games like this because such deep gaming experiences are slowly becoming fossilized.
"and then that guy up there (Shadowmaster) talking about how Square Enix isn't needed to help PS3 survive. What do you do to satisfy those jrpg purists in Japan, then? Square Enix are Gods over there. The day an FF fails to stimulate a console's sales will be the day FF really becomes Final."
I suspected that you might take my post out of context, but its ok, ill break it down even further to clear things up.
Having Square Enix is important for the Playstat...
Good point amigo. I am actually making a website with a game section that specifically focuses on PS3 and PSP. I would like all PS3 fans on here to drop by when it is done and have a look. Its not too formal, but at least its something im doing for fun and to support my console of choice. REally looking forward to TGS.
In support of my previous post, i strongly believe it is even possible the Xbox360 version will either be released simultaneously or very shortly after the PS3 release in Japan.
Another thing that just popped into my head to make me realize this is the simple fact that developing the XBOX360 version after the PS3 version will only mean square enix are potentially strangling the development time they could be using to make another completely different title, or a sequel to an alre...
Well thank you very much my fair lady :-)
ok
As a Proud PS3 owner, I have to say I Highly Doubt Square Enix is developing the PS3 version First, then Doing the Xbox360 version afterwards. Doesn't Make any sense to me really. I think SE are just using that as a consolation Quote to PS3 owners, to make them feel special, and give them that sense of "High Priority Development".
SE knew PS3 Users around the world were disappointed with the E3 announcement, and they knew they could potentially loose alot of customers. ...
"What I think we need is a direct competitor to Square Enix. They constantly rehash and simply don't innovate like they used too. We need someone to go out on a limb and make a truly giant and epic jrpg that puts FF13 to shame and can reignite that fire that they once had. 100 gig blu-ray disc anyone?"
What a True statement. I have Been Saying this for a long time. Level 5 could be that company. IF WKS ends up being a hit, Sony should just buy them and solve all their RPG ...
None of those games you listed have gone through a 10-11 year dev period.
Wait hold on a second . . . Did too Human really get a 6.75? and if it did, what were the reasons the review gave it that score ? (only reason im asking is because i want to confirm just how stuck up Mr Dyack is and his attitude towards feedback that could have improved his game. I used to love this game about 2 years ago until i realized the concept changed from being an action game to an unclassified mess. Shame, This could have been the next God of War).
This is the beginning of the fall of the video-game industry. 3rd party exclusives mean nothing anymore. Sad really.
I personally think so form of Hybrid CELL chip will be in the PS4 simply because the CELL has alot of untapped power, which has taken developers some time to come to grips with. So releasing a more powerful version similar to the C.B.E . Will eliminate any learning curves experienced with the Original chip.
I really dont know why people are disagreeing with Silogon (well i have many times before), but in this case he is right. I have that sinking feeling Tekken 6 is a multiplatform title. Its the only reason why Namco-Bandai have bought themselves a whole year : To develop the xbox360 version aswell.
This is just my paranoid self speaking. I could be completely wrong.
