So far in my experience futuristic sci-fi themed MMO's never really click the way that sword and magic ones do, but with Blizz's track record a starcraft MMO could def. be an exception!
(also as a huge SG-1 fan I'm hoping that the upcomming Stargate Worlds game will avoid the many pratfalls of sci-fi MMO's...)
on easy maybe 6-10 hours if you rush it, but then you go straight into nightmare and then hell difficulties, plus there's infinite replayability online and even in single player. (plus the secret cow level of course lol)
pshhh.... all that stuff happens to everybody when a Diablo game comes out. just suck it up and roll with it. You can always find a new job/friends/and family, but a Diablo game is something special!
From what I've heard lately about TooHuman it'll be nothing like D3 because Diablo III wont suck...
perhaps plot wasn't the correct word. Yes diablo 2 had a strong main plot but there were only 6 objectives per act whereas Oblivion has dozens of sidequests in every town and entire career paths to progress down. My main point, i guess, is that I didn't mind not having hundreds of quests in D2, and I never found it to be a boring game.
that's an awful lot of opinion there. fact is, most people who played Diablo know that it's anything but boring. Having more plot doesn't inherently make a game better either. Ultimately you're intitled to your opinion of course, but recognize that nearly all of the people who played D1 and D2 don't share it.
I couldn't be happier that Blizz is keeping the old perspective and gameplay style: in fact that's the reason I'm looking forward to D3 way more than F3.
maybe,... but the whole issue is a moot point. D3 isn't coming to consoles. no way no how.
I was so worried that Diablo in all of its epic glory wouldn't survive the transition to 3D and the modern era, but it appears that Blizzard has done it again. I spent over 2,000 hours on D2 and I'm sure I'll spent double that on this one if it's half as good as it looks!!!
Who wants to join my new justice league? I'm currently accepting scantily clad heroines and large breasted aliens.
seriously tho, this game could be good. I'm kind of tired of WoW being the only show on the block if you know what I mean...
while those black characters he mentioned may have been two dimensional or even stereotypical, he failed to acknowledge that many videogame characters are like that regardless of color. Look at the other characters in the games he mentioned: Sports games: well everyone in them plays sports, GTA: all of the series white protagonists engaged in those same crimes, Gears of War: all the main characters were steroid-fueled foul-mouthed killing machines... so while yes, there could be better black ...
that's the sound of another franchise being milked. don't kid yourselves everyone. even if it ends up a good game it's still a prime example of a company cashing in on what was originally intended to be an epic stand alone title.
still, if your fragile ego can't take a machine calling you fat.... I mean, c'mon suck it up.
Well, if it is Perfect Dark, it certainly couldn't be any worse than the first 360 one... C'mon Rare! Make me happy!
sounds more like another one of R*'s frequent references to their other cities... People read too much into this stuff!
"Employee of Microsoft speaks highly of Microsoft product" well there's a news flash... "scientists confirm: water is wet!" All this and more coming up on the obvious channel. Personally I think Sony is on track to win 2008, but I guess we'll see.
What they need are NEW shows, not the crappy old ones they had...
NOW LET THIS DEBATE DIE! GTA IV IS AMAZING ON BOTH SYSTEMS
because then you run into the moral delima of richer gamers getting a better/easier experience. It's like the problem of FPS' that let you buy better guns: it creates an uneven playing field and cheapens the overall experience.
I don't think Diablo qualifies as "massively" multiplayer when the world player limit is 8...
