I like the idea, but I am considering getting a Logitech G Cloud. It can remote play from my Xbox, PS5, stream Game Pass, and play emulators. The screen is great, the battery is great, and the design seems great! If only it was a bit cheaper. I am waiting for a discount in Europe.

@Vengeance1138 100 million is a modest number. Spotify has over half a billion active users. That is users generering money either through paid subscriptions or ad revenue. So nobody is making numbers up. Music is a different product compared to games, but the amount of gamers is growing everyday. Microsoft is aiming for the long run. That it will take 10 or 20 years to accomplish their purpose with Game Pass.
True. But imagine 100 million subscribers regularly paying 10 dollars a month. That's a billion dollars a month. It is hard and takes time to reach that continuous stream of subscribers but imagine the possibilities. Recouping the costs for AAA games would be easy. And having so many subscribers would hopefully result in many AAA games.
In this case, Bethesda would be the product and not Starfield.
If you created it then you can keep it exclusive (Halo and God of War). But if something that is available on the market gets bought by a company with the intention of removing that product from the market to hurt their competitors and decrease the number of customers, that is a business model that can actually be impeded by authorities.
As a Playstation fan, I can't wait for this game! Will be playing it on PC using Game Pass. Then again, I really like the Fallout games so I am just the kind of sucker for this type of style.

To be fair, the amount of money going to single-player games will increase compared to today. However, I also find it worrying that the main focus seems to be heading towards live service games.

Get ready for the Great Reset! Fewer buyers but at a higher price. The profits will increase for these companies. Just look at Apple who went with the same business model a few years back. We can manage and even increase our profits with fewer customers if we sell the product at a much higher price.
