If you have to replace Hulk Hogan I would say this is the next best thing.

Im sorry but Third person COD with katanas sounds like bad ass fun to me. Especially if the game play is fast paced.

But it isnt just a third person shooter. It is also a FPS and third person action RPG/platformer. The gameplay trailer I have seen it looks like about 4 different genres rolled in to one game. If it is done correctly it has the potential to be very fun.

This is certainly a decent review. I never played it on the PS2 but will definitely pick it up. I am going to get it on my Wii U though. Trying to support it when I can.

WTF did I just watch?

Yet again spoken like a person that hasnt played any Wii u exclusives. Of which there are a ton of.

I may be a rarity but the first year or so I bought almost all the third party games for the wii u. However they ran poorly except for the batman games and Deus Ex. Those games were awesome on it. However third parties moved on to the more powerful hardware. I can understand that to a degree. I still think Nintendo can be their quirky selves with periphals and stuff and still make a system third parties can embrace.

If you want people to experience ninty games a particular way t...

An official release date hasnt been announced yet and they are going to release info almost a year from now. When they did that with the Wii the system didnt release for almost another year! To say they are treating the Wii U bad is based on nothing at all if you think it is because of their development on the NX. You really think Sony and MS arent trying to develop something new yet either?

Nintendo is the only person trying to support the Wii U and have delivered some awe...

LOL the Game pad can definitely be used in multiplayer. I played COD ghosts and BO2 using the game pad as one screen and a friend played on the TV. Zombi U uses it and the pro controller, that came with the bundle, for it's multiplayer. Every multiplayer Nintendo game uses the gamepad so I do not understand the retardation spewing forth from your mouth right now. Not only that, they have a couple bundles that come WITH the pro controller at no extra cost. Have you ever played a Wii U or a...

The best Gamepad experience was Nintendo Land. If you haven't played the Metroid, Donkey Kong, Ninja, and Legend of Zelda games from Nintendo Land on the Game pad then you haven't experience the true potential it has/had. However, Zombi U did do a good job and I enjoyed it.

Monkeyman is right dude. The indie crowd has been thinking outside the box a whole lot more than mainstream developers. The games he listed and the likes of Fez are truly innovative games that did some new stuff. Other than that it has been the norm.

So many of these games were fantastic and to have them all on one disc is going to be a lot of fun. Feeling good about Rare again.

I loved the Overlord games. Still play the Wii one from time to time. This looks like it could be fun too.

Is anyone else kinda hoping that they keep this more like an arcade shooter? I mean without zooming and all of the fancy stuff that most FPS games have these days. One of the nostalgic and memorable things about Doom, Hexen, Duke Nukem, and Shadow Warrior is that they all had that fixed gun thing going on. You had to switch back and forth really fast and get that reticle just perfectly lined up. This game is looking really good but I just thought I would throw the question out there.

I played the first Gears once through when it first came out. At this point I am about to beat 3 and then still have to play Judgment, which I hope to finish by the end of August. However, the first Gears is the only one I don't own anymore. I have 2,3,and Judgment. I am really looking forward to this game. However, comparisons of pre rendered cinematic scenes isn't going to impress me. I am much more interested in side by side comparison of the gameplay instead.

Every game that is released still has the same basic building blocks: walk with the left stick, look with the right, A jumps, B crouches....blah blah blah so on and so on. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. I appreciate those controls since they are what I am used to.

What he was trying to say is that Ninty tries to find NEW ways to PLAY the games. They still provide a basic controller almost identical to the XB controller. The difference is they try to innovate and inve...

Good because I am buying it day 1.

Well said. Exactly the way I see the scene as well. I am greatly awaiting what Ninty has in store. The lack of information is making this a huge media frenzy and creating a lot of buzz. the potential for using that to their advantage is really high.
