Need 4 Speed Carbon PS3 Games DOES have Force Feedback on Steering Wheels.
[this is NOT 'rumble', I'm talking about FFB on wheels]
PS3 games CAN / DO have FFB on wheels.
Sony 1st party titles F1 / GTHD don't in the USA, that is where the patent fight is currently under appeal. GTHD does have FFB in Japan on Japan PS3s [Sony has the patent there, not in USA]
Until the appeal is decided & lawsuit finalised, Sony would never try to put FFB in their...
Force Feedback on Steering Wheels !!
Since it will not give us Force Feedback on steering wheels like the Ps2 version does, this game simply won't "feel" as good to drive, sadly.
WE need FFB, SONY !!! [So does GT5 !!!]
nmo link, no text , no movie
without Force Feedback on steering wheels, they might as well not bother !!!
PS3 supports FFB.
NFSCarbon has FFB.
get your facts right.

Rumble = handheld controllers "vibration"
Force Feedback = Steering WHEEL resistance / bumps / crashes / loss of grip reactions.
Not me.
I said they took out FFB = Force Feedback when using steering wheels [a feature of the PS2 version, BTW].
I'm not talking about the SIXAXIS.
And now if you use a wheel, there is a big center "deadzone" when steering, the car drifts left and right.
["Rumble = handheld controller feature]
It has a Deadzone w/ Logi DFPro wheel.
No FFB.
No Online Mode <-- might come in March "USA" release.
No safety Car .
No PSP Mirror feature <-- might come in March "USA" release
No "Flag Waving Marshals" like PS2 version
having an "FFB Wheel" doesn't mean a game has FFB, HOWEVER :
Need 4 Speed Carbon PS3 BluRay Disc Game HAS FFB.
[if it's not 'FFB' it's a damn good impersonation of the FFB that NFSC PS2 has -- I have the game & Logi DFPro Wheel]
that means PS3 HAS FFB !!

Phil Harrison of SONY:
"Once youve defined the format, you stick to it. Now, that doesn't prevent third party steering wheels having force feedback and obviously [Gran Turismo creator] Kazunori is going to be keen to have that."

Oh, NFS Carbon PS3 version has what sure FEELS like FFB .... I have it & it feels just like the ...
No Online Mode
No safety Car
No PSP Mirror feature
No "Flag Waving Marshals" like PS2 version
but, the BIGGEST reason this isn't as good as it should be:
NO FORCE FEEDBACK !!! [like PS2 version]great visual crashes, but they feel lifeless [as does the actual driving] due to no FFB when using a Steering Wheel
Truly NOT a "Sim" w/o FFB on Wheels. Not as realistic to "drive" compared to the PS2 version, ...
no FORCE FEEDBACK !!
just not as good as it could be, because of that.
"Next Gen" F1 game that lacks the FFB in steering wheels that the "Old Gen" version has.
Sad.
I've got more on my pc !!
lame

No FFB = No longer a "Sim" = time for F1 to end the 'exclusive' deal w/ Sony, I'm afriad.
