Agreed! I also loved Silent Hills, but we're never gonna get it, and Konami butchered the series in the later games anyway.
I may be in the minority here but I cannot wait for RE7. The demo was absolutely terrifying, and with the horror scene over-indulged at the moment, it did feel quite refreshing. I am an original Resi fan, but sometimes a long-loved series has to take a different form. Similar to Tomb Raider being upheaved? Anyway, just my humble two cents.
