Why do I get the feeling Larry is pulling one of these faces right now?

I agree, but Sony could possibly hold a Playstation Meeting in Tokyo early next year, in the same vein as the PS Vita announcement in January 2011.
Awesome!
As long as Sony gets the price right, this could really push PS3 ahead of Xbox 360. I know I will pick up the ultra slim - it's rumored that the 12gb version will retail for $199 with Uncharted 3 and Gran Turismo 5.
After the dismal showing for Vita at E3, hopefully upcoming events such as Gamescom, Game Heaven and Tokyo Game Show will shed light on some exciting new titles.
I think it's probably inevitable that some form of protection will be introduced with the next generation of consoles.
As long as something innovative and respective to consumers is introduced, I'm all for it.
Splitting both the single-player, and multiplayer into separate components would be a great idea - would allow players to buy one, or the other, instead of being locked out of the equation completely due to financial difficulties.
Xbox World Magazine - June 2012 issue stated this. The website just picked up on it.
If you had took the time to actually read it, you would have noticed. Reporting rumors and creating rumors are two separate things.
You do realize that the website is simply reporting what an Xbox-centric magazine stated.
If these magazines are reporting whatever specs for the console, they are newsworthy - considering that they are respected, and well-known.
If it's true or not, the age-old saying still comes into play. There's no smoke without fire.
Powerhouse console confirmed if true
Hopefully GDC sheds some light on this unannounced gem.
If not, God of War IV will most likely feature at E3 2012.
Agreed.
I get the feeling that Sony will be forced to show something. Although I do think the PS4 will make an appearance at E3 2012, i think it will be in the form of a nod toward the next generation near the end of the conference.
Nothing major, maybe a logo and a few tech demos. It will be calculated to draw attention away from Wii U and the inevitable announcement of the next Xbox.
I still firmly believe that a late 2013 release will appl...
The magazine claimed that both titles would be revealed in February. It is now February 12th - there is plenty of time left for a potential announcement.
As for a next-gen announcement at E3, things seem to be up in the air at the moment, however, these magazines are quite respected, and these claims have to have some substance, no matter how small.
Could be possible. Would be great news if Microsoft & Sony announced their next-gen systems at E3.
To be fair to Kaz, he wouldn't of exactly said that they are bringing PS4 to E3 - would kinda ruin the surprise. :)
This rumor worries me because if true (which I hope not), the device would probably spontaneously combust upon starting up even the Samaritan demo.
I really do fail to realize why people are constantly jumping on the bandwagon defending what is essentially flippant choices when it comes to relatively important matters such as the desert-dry lack of exclusive titles and more importantly, the specs of next-generation consoles.
I'm a big Microsoft fan, but to think that Sony may have two blockbuster exclusives just waiting to burst out the door, whilst Phil Spencer pontificates about quality over quantity is laughable- ...
So......we will have waited almost eight years for what is basically an abysmal update at best. The GPU will be almost useless if Microsoft intends to carry on with a ten year lifecycle.
Really disappointed if this actually turns out to be true.
The more the merrier!
Hopefully the exclusive titles start piling up in the coming months.
Sony always delivers the goods.
Can't wait!
Looks like E3 2012 should make for an interesting conference Sony-wise. :)
Demand>Supply = PS4
Supply>Demand = Xbox One
