http://www.dualshockers.com... Here are Sony's numbers from their recent financial report. It clearly states 13.5 million consoles shipped. Can someone can point to me where in this financial report is says they've actually sold these consoles to consumers? Its shipped people! These companies never report sold to customers
Halo will be a huge deal, I Know a lot of people just waiting for halo before they jump in. Don't underestimate the power of this franchise as it has millions of faithful followers, the same ones who carried the original Xbox and the 360 to success.
Interesting promo overlap situation... could hurt PlayStation 4 sales for sure.
This is turning out to be a big year for Halo. The more the merrier. I can never get enough of Halo!
This is a pretty good deal. Free game and $50,towards another
How does JB sleek have 37 disagrees? What was so bad about what he said. PlayStation fanboys are so delusional that I feel sorry for them. They have a brain of a 10 year old child sometimes, and just see the world one way, its sad.
One day when Sony goes out of Business (which they will) you'll all realize just how lucky Sony is with the sales their getting. Microsoft messed up, and that's the only reason Sony is on top now.
If it was the other way around they woul...
I happen agree with the author He does bring up a good point. Sony and Microsoft did switch positions, and it isn't fair the Microsoft was ridiculed for doing the same thing a year earlier. Calm the inner fanboy in you
Yeah this article brings up some good points. I think Sony had a good E3, but all I've been seeing as of lately on N4G is how Sony won and people talking up their entertainment announcements.
Who's abandoning the gamer now? In fact, although Sony owed off great titles, but they're not seeing the light of day till 2015.
What's with the article about how Microsoft bet on games and lost? Microsoft actually had an amazing showing, actually they always did. ...
Just because it hasn't happened in the past when things were much simpler and different you seem so sure it wont happen again. Things change and this is a plausible situation. Microsoft knows this and are trying to capitalize on it. They can pull it off if they get the content right. They have the money, they have the right idea, they have an established user base and they're the biggest software company in the world with lots if talented people. I don't understand how you ca...
Non gamers are not buying consoles for this reason now and haven't in the past. Because #1 they're too expensive now so normal people will not buy them for these reasons. #2 there was nothing like the the X1 before on the market with Kinect 2.0, tv integration, multitasking original content,Skype. But all this for 99-199 could has huge potential to do so.
I really don't see the problem with this article. At this moment gamers are the ones buying these consoles. But if they were $99 or $199 (subsidized or just 3-4 years down the road when the price is lower) and if X1 by that time becomes an established brand with lots of great non entertainment content isn't it plausible that the regular everyday normal consumer would pick it up over the ps4? Its not such a stretch. Remember that at those price points your attracting a different ki...
Good read. Looks like Sony really messed up making a console for just gaming, gaming alone will not win as entertainment brings the Xbox to the masses. This of course would happen as the price drops or Microsoft subsidizes the console
This will affect the PS4 down the road, Sony is a dying brand and I just don't see how they could possibly bounce back. With the recent sell-off of their PC business, the spin-off if their TV business, the eventual shutting down of their phone business and now the closing of their retail stores, I just don't see them ever a well recognized and respectable brand.
Sadly the PS4 will not be able to strive effectively as they wont have the ability to compete with a lower price-p...
