Doesn't matter that PS5 lineup looks amazing. Sony have big problems at the moment delivering consoles.
This January has been the slowest since release. If there were no issues with components, PS5 would outsell Switch weekly by ease, but right now, it can't run away from Series S, and can't chase Switch.
I hope it will look brighter, very soon, because this is the best line up ever on a console after just two years and PS5 would've been close to, i...
As I said, everyone should download and try the game, but that doesn't mean it's a success and no one will ever know.
Even if I never loved any of the Bethesda games, I will download and try it. Even if I never play it, MS will count it as a download.
But as a developer, you wouldn't actually know if it's their game who makes people interested in GamePass or one of the other almost 400 games on the service.
If your game ...
Thought it was obvious I was talking about Halo multiplayer, which I'm pretty sure Microsoft hoped would last longer. Halo Infinite multiplayer is a free to play game and planned to last for years.
The last 3 Assassins Creed games are to me, the best 3, and they have sold millions.
I never spent a cent on mt for any of those games, and still spent 100+ hours in each, with enjoyment.
No one is forced to pay mt, but as long as there are thousands of people spending money to get a better looking cloak, hat, boots or whatever, it will continue and I see no issues with that.
In Final Fantasy VII Remake I spent money on mt and I'm happy to su...
Your last phrase is spot on.
Dying Light 2 sold extremely well on PS5 and incredibly bad om Xbox.
And looking into the comments in those sales threads are all the same.
"I will try it when it comes to GamePass" and I'm not fond of that direction.
I always had both Xbox and Playstation and loved the Xbox/360 era when Halo was good, Kotor tool the world with storm, Fable was amazing, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon which both were my top ...
Of course it has a chance of being the Most Played Bethesda game. As of right now there is 25 million gamers who can play it for "free" on their existing subscription.
Even I will try it out if it release before my GamePass subscription runs out.
However, will the game sell more than other Bethesda games? I know fans of Phil would say, that doesn't matter anymore, but how do we meassure success otherwise? By throwing out a number of downloads on GameP...
The "consumers" you are talking about are very few. It's mainly the ones with PC Monitors who screams, but most PS5-gamers play on TVs and we don't ask for 1440p, nor VRR.
You might want it, but you don't voice the overall "consumer".
You mention Publishers.
However, those are some Studios they bought lately, and I agree most of them are crap (some are good ofc).
Bethesda Game Studios
id Software
ZeniMax Online Studios
Arkane
MachineGames
Tango Gameworks
Alpha Dog
Roundhouse Studios
Blizzard Entertainment
King.com Limited
Major League Gaming Corp.
Activision Blizzard Studios

And still PSNow is cheaper and even more games.
Nah, almost none who was there for Halo 1-3 is still working with Halo. Many of them made Destiny, but majority have moved to other studios.
Very few went from Bungie to 343 anyways.
@Shane
Absolutely. I'm not going to play this anywhere else.
But we do know that the ~18 million PS5 isn't enough, but with another almost 120 million PS4's out there many gamers will have the oppurtunity to at least play it.
@Pete
Force feedback etc is not the same as the haptic and adaptive triggers in DualSense.
If you ever used a modern racing wheel and used DualSense, you would know the difference.
I would've loved if my new Fanatec had anything close to it, but it doesn't.
Still I'm going to play GT7 with a wheel, but will at least try a few hours with DualSense.
And for the gamers who don't have PS5, there is still a console known as PS4.
@Teflon
Nope. Wasn't in the SoP, but every other plattform mentioned it who got the preview from Sony ahead of SoP.
No, he meant the Pixel Remaster games, I-VI, instead of more games connected to VII.
I am 97% certain FFXVI ain't releasing this year, and not so sure Ragnarok will hit tgis year either.
However, Fospoken, GT7, Ghostwire Tokyo and Horizon is more than enough and those are ofc not all.
Valhalla, Fenyx Rising, Dirt 5, FIFA22, Fortnite, CoD, ... Just to mention a few non 1st party studio games that did well with the DualSense integration.
7 or 8 from IGN, Stevivor 4, then we have most 9s and 10s. That's my bet.
Yes, because Xbox and MS had so much to do with that game.
Ghostwire and Deathloop is indeed Xbox Studios now, but nothing was made due to MS.
So you're mentioning a PS5 Exclusive game as a showcase of what Xbox have showed?
