Well they need to do something, the system is dead outside the US and as MS is creatively bankrupt so this is the only thing they can think of. They tried buying up the industry and banning systems from publishers, that didn't work so now this, they seem to do everything but investing and creating original ip's that sell systems and generate interest.
2026's new shelf dust covers. Nintendo's new console will be out before it and the PS6 will be a year later ...
So you prioritise MS profits over the industries innovation and workforce... interesting.
$80 billion spent and all MS has to show for it is a less competitive industry and thousands fired... but the rich got even richer so that's great news for you.
You can't program your way out of crap hardware, you should know that obscure.
Sales on Xbox will be too small to concern them over getting it right on the S. It won't be a priority.
It's not a surprise, MS is bankrupt on both technical and creative sides. MS just buys successful companies and chews them up and spits them out when it's no longer of value.
This is why it's so important to break up monopolies like MS, they destroy creativity and progress like we have seen with Xbox.
Also, why so many alt accounts, why is the obscure one not enough?
Yes the three big gaming platforms, Nintendo, PC and Playstation will have a fantastic year... Xbox really isn't a platform anymore, just a rental service and a publisher of others games.
So, what games that weren't already coming to Xbox are now coming to Xbox after spending $80 billion?
This entire thing has been a disaster for everyone except shareholders and CEO's, thousands fired to bring Xbox nothing new and going full third party. Just a bunch of scumbags consolidating and homogenising a huge part of the industry to enrich the few.
Don't forget to support the devs and buy the games, MS will have no issue with even more &...
...er no.
I mean yeah, the fact that no one buys games on Xbox anymore means that you rely on Gamepass money if you are releasing your game on Xbox. Exclusivity contracts make devs sound like robots reading from a script, it's a shame that they have to do this but it's part of the game.
Glad this game is getting the praise and love it deserves, unfortunately tech4gamers seems more interested in praising MS then the Stalker 2 team in the articles I've just read.
...
It's using 80's pop culture as a design influence, same as films like Akira and Bladerunner.
Look how many brands are on just the leads bike in Akira, BMW, Canon Inc, Citizen Watch Co, Shoei Co. and Arai.
"We at Microsoft are creatively bankrupt and it's easier to take credit for the work of others, unfortunately our own platform is too weak to support the $80 billion of industry consolidation we were involved with so er.... now everything is an Xbox and multiplatform publishers are multiplatform again"
This is how MS buys an industry, they'll buy everything but keep it multiplatform in hope of pulling more people into the subscription service over time. Wi...
I'm having a great time with it, it feels like an adventure. The enemy AI is completely stupid though, but that's half the fun.
I like knocking out someone with something loud like a guitar, the enemy lets out a scream and falls down dead in a shower of splinters but his friend who's standing about 4ft away and almost looking at you notices nothing.
I have Indi running on my 3080 and yeah, half the graphical features are locked out because of the 10GB card, I have found a mod that lets me change a few things so can run some of the locked out features without hitting my limit.

My PC is primarily for work, I do large scale picture editing and need a ton of RAM,...
"The fact that this is being debated at all is because ND have deliberately designed their character to produce this divide."
90% of the planet hasn't been infected with this BS, keep it in the US please.
Please stop pushing Heritage Foundation agenda BS on gaming chat rooms, we get a flood of that everywhere else on the internet.
"This sexual posturing / ambiguity in games is tiring for some."
You know what is tiering, insane incels screaming endless over if a game character is f**kable or not, or complaining about everything if a game isn't full of hot buff guys.
Watching this from outside the US is crazy. Half the country has been taken over by the Heritage foundation.
Such a shame this lady is going to be kicked out of the FTC for the crime of making corporations pay.
The consumer and workforce has a bad time coming with the new US administration, the relaxing of monopoly laws and the war on nonprofits (which includes unions). The future is large mergers trying to scrape more and more profits and big price increases due to the lack of competition... Do you know why your food costs so much now in the US? A handful of companies own everyt...
The second it's available I'm getting a new build, been waiting to see if the pricing and if the 5080 16gb of ram is good enough, will I need the 5090?
... Also my friends kid is dying to get my old PC, a I9 RTX3080 with 32gb of ram isn't a bad free gift, he'll be happy with that for a while.
The platform has no identity They tried to fill the gap by buying publishers who's games where already coming to the system and that failed.
They tried to ban multiplatform publishers from completing systems to attract new customers, that failed and ended up punishing the publishers they purchased.
Their streaming service and mass consolidation is extremely bad for the industry and it's workforce.
Seems to me MSs problems comes from the ...
I'm going for the 5090 and a new build, the 16gb isn't enough.
