You are right, that's what everbody was saying at the time, never heard anything about it not being online.
I've been thinking about trying this game for years, I may get it now that it's dirt cheap, no big loss if it sucks

come on, those are just a few, most side quests and many main quests are: go there, gather some flowers, kill some enemy or something boring like that, return to quest giver. Repeat X500
what do you mean? this game has Orcs, Dragons, giant Summons...
why would anyone want a stinking controller?
side quests are booooooring and after titan & bahamut the main quest becomes a sidequest-fest with endless asinine errand boy chores
I think it's very understandable that many people are left wanting a real rpg FF, I like this game but it's kinda shallow, it lacks depth and nuance, it's basically an action game
It looks a lot better now without motion blur

No playable party, hack and slash gameplay focused on performing combos, barebones equipment, no magic system or casting whatsoever, elements are tied to eikon abilities I guess...and the game loves to take control from you every 5 seconds, add to that Quick time events to...attack and dodge, mash square button...I guess qte's are cool and very rpg now
