People are defending this company, despite gt5 showing that 60fps and 1080p and amazing graphics is possible. Yes special effects sometimes need to be toned down to reach that level.
But kinda makes gt5 seem even more special in my own eyes. since technically they could Double the detail and cars on track for example for a trade off half the frames to 30fps and 720p to continue to smoothly render everything.... but that would be 32 cars instead of 16 at 200,000 polygons per a car each...
Synetic... pgr3 uses 94,000 per a car on average. No idea yet wot pg4 has progressed to?
But makes grand turismo seem even more impressive at 200,000 per a car, and runs at 60 frames per a second AND has 16 cars on track at once. Impressive is a understatement.
But the bling boys who buy this dont really give a golden sparkling necklace about this kinda info, as long as its got the bling appeal and the cars have big alloys. sorted for them :p
Both amazing games that implement that style... and woops.... both incredible games.
I cant see them designing that kind of cinematic style any other way, other then just letting the player simply watch and not interact at all. I think it keeps u on the tips of ur toes when ur playing res 4 and a video comes on, only to wake you up by suddenly shaking the controlller to dodge something lol.
I wouldnt like this in every game unless it was only for truly amazing cinematic sequence...
I can personally prob agree this could be correct, $50 dollers now to launch alongside there steller lineup.
But I can see them dropping another $50 dollers at least for the introduction of the 65nano hardware update. So I can see them being at least $100 dollers cheaper between now and 2008 march, even if they just drop by $50 now. Since being honest, they dont really need to when there about to launch there strongest lineup of games ever in my opinion.

Come on man, you completly misread about Sony and its dark and sinful past. Firstly its obv a joke, lighten up. Secondly Sony and I could quote a book worth from Sony of the God that is ps3, the lead-up to the launch of the ps3 and the whole spin was quiet frankly awful and lived in its own little world as higher beings beyond the competition, now they have been forced to recognise there position again.
Im completly non biased towards anyone, I just generally favour Microsofts 360 JUST...

I would personally say that all the studios are doing a fantastic job atm for forza, pg4 and grand T.
Its a bit sad getting jealous, as you call it, over not being able to able to play a game, that isnt even close to coming out yet. (GT 5, not the prologue)
If when it comes out, it looks fantastic, I might buy a Ps3 just for it. (im that hardcore with my games, not my consoles).

That we all deep down want Grand Turismo5 to have:
A Career mode with Forza's physics. ( I **PERSONALLY** think its unrivalled)
A mix between the layout of Forza and Grand T's incredible career depth.
Grand turismo's photo realism.
Project Gothams weather system.
And a arcade mode thats actually Project Gotham (with bikes!).
Im a huge fan of all three, and a convergance of all there personal strengths would be an unrivaled game.

I can understand its amazing that they havnt got close to reaching the limits of the Cell.
But by stating it uses around 15-20percent does basically tell people, that this game could have been developed on the 360 which exactly the same graphics.

Coolio, the console looks pretty swanky in that colour, but the controller looks nasty due to the grey rubber. Bad colour co-ordination.

Japan sure do like there own products. But if things were the opposite so we hated there products and loved our own...they would b ruined. Ive always admired them, but they seem kind of blind to products that they dont produce themselves.
