There is still going to be a fallout from decisions made by Jim Ryan, games already invested in and we'll underway. The full turn around is likely 3/4 years from his point of leaving maybe longer due to development times.
As long as the ship steers back into its lane before the end of this generation, the future will remain bright.
Lessons have to be learned from bad decisions and the core audience kept in mind going forward
A 30 year history artbook with stories would be brilliant
The Gen that felt really hyped and yet remained pretty flat.
There has not been nearly enough quality at this point in the generation and as good as some remakes can be, there are far too many compared to new 1st party games.
How far away from reveals are these studios ?
Really enjoying this game. It's fun, energetic, good story and wicked gameplay.
Was a bit of a sleeper title for me which I'm now glad I found
I can respect that there is a market for remasters however, there have been far too many this Gen and for me personally, not enough new game releases. Where is all the new content? Where is the showcase?
It's been a lacklusting Gen with few worth while reasons to buy into it.
Because they wanted it? Is there any more of a point than that
Is it over priced though? Price together a pc that can push out the same output.
Its like there is a tax for a console when the tax is technology itself. The PS6 will be cheaper than the ps5 pro because it has to be, that's the market. The pro is for people that want a taste of the best
Investors can definitely yield some of the blame. After all, it's their money and they have a big say in the bs that gets put out there because they're expecting their pockets to be lined.
The wheel doesn't have to be invented every time, but it certainly needs air in it to get it rolling
So much potential but unfortunately got repetitive.
For me, it needs more dynamic gameplay in terms of objectives.
Just like the base console, the pro console is a choice. You either get it, or you don't. Nobody is bound and it doesn't ruin anyone's experience.
When creativity is replaced by a formula, sooner or later people tend to clock on, especially if the end result is continued mediocrity.
The IPs that ubisoft own have and had so much potential to be more than what we got, it's crazy. Watchdogs is a great example. How refreshingly different that looked when the original was announced and what did they do? Chased away all originality and replaced it with what ever insert people choose to call it.

Personally would love all 3 of the big companies to attend at least one of the same show each year. Gaming hasn't been the same since E3. It added this level of excitement, competition and general conversation about gaming that we no longer get.
@Gold
If you saying no to getting naked in a sauna results in you not getting a job, it's an issue.
Interesting read, some stuff not factually correct though.
EA didnt lose the rights to the name FIFA. They chose not to relicense due to the extortionate fee that they were being charged.
The bottom line is true though, EA are comfortable and put what feels like little to no effort into each release. There is still so much that can be done with this game and yet, we see so little.
Look for all those nannies hahaha
Believe it when I see it.
Whilst Rockstar make incredible games, they're not the rockstar of old.
