I think what the author is trying to say is not that DVD is equal to Blu-ray, but that there is no difference in quality of the DVD games on Xbox vs the Blu-ray games on PS3.
I agree with the "fairness" of the article and with the comparison to the controllers being a tie. I think the controllers should be chalked up to personal preference with no clear winner.

I think what Stray Wulf meant is by releasing an update now, it must mean that 2.4 isn't as close as we hoped or they could have just waited to release 2.36 with 2.4 instead of separate updates!
