@timesplitter
But why does performance matter when you're not that bothered enough about the game?
You wouldn't buy the game on PC as it clearly doesn't interest you enough to buy the console the game is on?
PS4 games on Now isn't about having PS games on PC, it's about giving PC gamers a taste of what's on PS and trying to get you to buy their console and into their eco system.
Same as MS, the...
"Nothing is locked behind a paywall or seasonpass in Rainbow 6."
So why is there one? Why not just have those characters/weapons for everyone from the start?
Season Passes shouldn't exsist.
"Unlocking" weapons or characters by a leveling system or microtranactions shouldn't exsist.
But it does because of mugs like you.
@Lawson
"The game literally has received like 1 new map and another reserved for one mode, a ranked mode"
I count 3 Eichenwalde, Echo Base and Oasis.
The game hasn't even been out a year yet.
The thing is with Overwatch in 3/4 or even 5 years time, you know that Blizzard will still be making content for it.
The game will feel different from now just how it feels different from when it ...
Well paying for weapons is something that Overwatch doesn't do either.
So whilst R6 might not lock all its content behind a season pass, the fact it has weapons as part of a season pass puts it more inline with COD/BF ect than Overwatch imho.
There is nothing gameplay related locked in Overwatch, not locked via a leveling system or paid content.
Didn't that have a season pass?
I'm hoping PS4 games work, I'm also (doubtful) that so will PS3 games.
I'm hoping that the OS is also the same (can have new UI) with all the current and future PS4 features from day one.
Would make me very happy to have those two.
Please tell me this is a wind up or trolling?
They have released characters and maps and new modes for FREE.
Which other triple A developer does that? Which other triple A developer will change their characters in order to balance out the game and keep it fun.
I honestly can't think of one, especially on console.
I'd rather have free content then having to pay for it. And I don't care if I have to wait for...
I'm waiting for a price cut anyway, I'm fully digital and £50 is too much.
I got mine a few weeks ago, ATM I'm using it more in terms of showing it to friends and family, don't have the money to buy more games yet, but the demo's have really impressed me.
Rigs, EVE, Job Sim and Farpoint are on my to buy list.
But with a bigger gap between each installation you can give yourself a chance to build a solid story.
As for MP, again I understand why people swarm to it, if you join too late you get bummed by people who have levelled up quicker than you.
Where as if you scrap the unlocking weapons and perks and give them to people them from the start then people won't have to rush the SP or skip it to get onto MP.
COD needs a break.
3/4 years. Come back with an epic single player and a much much deeper multiplayer.
They need to follow Overwatch's example, make a multiplayer game that doesn't need weapon unlocks to keep players interested.
The fact they have to make it every year to do the same old grind to keep you guys buying it says it all.
It's not really about not having to get up.
More about not having to have a shelf full of games.
My wife is always going on about clutter, so going digital from the start of this gen helped, we're now moving our movie collection to digital as well, meaning even less shelf space is needed.
The space is then used for our children's books and toys.
Having young children can be a pain with discs. Not so much m...
This isn't a surprise.
Sony have 16 game studios (some like London and Japan making 4/5 games at the same time).
To MS 9. The law of averages will tell you that a company that has nearly double the output of another company will produce more.
Then you add in second party studios currently doing work for Sony (quantic dream, Kojima productions, housemarque etc) and it gets even less surprising.
However! Whilst this...
Agree with the author they both seem to have very different styles when it comes to exclusives.
One isn't better than the other, think both produce quality games, but I think PS exclusives hit a larger range of tastes as they seem to target a border pool of generes, from shooters to puzzles to horror.
Whilst some X1 exclusives are different they mostly produce shooters or racers.
That's fair enough, but only if those who have signed the petition also sign ones asking for games currently exclusive to PC on consoles...
I mean if your against exclusives you got to be against PC exclusives.
I doubt they do.
@moldy
Actually it shows they are adaptable and are willing to change their stance to one that makes their console more appealing.
Something Nintendo could learn to do.
I'd love TF3, unfortunately as a PS4 I doubt it would come to my platform of choice.
My only reason.
It's fun.
I don't always enjoy multiplayer games, but I have not enjoyed a game like this since TF2.
I really wanted one... I couldn't get one at launch.
Now I have the cash I can't get one.
My desire to own one is dwindling everyday. If I can't buy one buy the end of Feb then I won't buy one at all.
Edit:
Just saw it's now in stock on Amazon UK... bought one now.
You do know the games are streamed from PS4 hardware. So the game is still an exclusive, you are just using your PC to log into an app that access said PS4.
Still an exclusive as the game can't be played without said app that connects to the PS4.
Nice try fanboy.
