GOW3 hasn't come out yet, but i completely agree about everything else. all those games are one step ahead. Come on, Mass Effect 2 is an incredible game, but visually its not in there.
No offense to the guy who wrote the article or everyone who doesn't have a ps3, but Mass effect 2 is not second best looking game to date. It does not look better than killzone 2 or MGS4. Mass Effect 2 is one of the best games this generation, but it is not because of its visuals. Either get a ps3 or do screenshot comparisons, but don't pretend these games don't exist.

The guy who wrote the article said he liked the ps3 version better. Most multiplatform games look darker on the ps3...this one is the opposite ...The 360 version doesn't look better than MW2.
Wow, if IGN is okay having this fanboy (who admits he is) around, they are just as terrible as he is. He first talks about how ridiculous flame wars are and then he takes sides. IGN = 360 FANBOYS ....there are plenty of other websites though.
Im not even a racing simulation fan, but i have to get this for the visuals and the amount of effort they are putting in it. I haven't heard of any other game being in development longer than this!!
yeah, Mass Effect is a nice single player game...but this is about a fps multiplayer game, ODST is the 360's latest exclusive..which is more like the 2007 version of Halo 3. Everyone has played Halo 3 or ODST (same thing), so im not juding a game i've never played...but when i play either Halo 3 or ODST, i realise why MW2 is so popular. It was a big win for microsoft when they announced FF13, but it also backfired on them as they saw the difference between the blu ray drive on the ps3 with that of the xbox 360. For the first time Microsoft will realize that dvds weren't built for high def like they claimed so much.
But then again the real high def war is between digital distribution and blu ray...how come we won't see FF13 in the xbox live market place? the 360 version is only about 30gb.

7.0 is not a flop and 8.0 is the industry average...gamespot takes reviews more seriously than ign...they are still testing the game.
the best looking game that i can remember last gen was Resident Evil 4 for the gamecube...The xbox was more powerful but it did give an effort to show it...instead it died before the ps2 which was less powerful
Yes sony has poor marketing, but calling Killzone 2 a decent game makes you a fanboy and i stopped reading it after that. And if you use your head, you'll find out that God of war doesn't need marketing...because just about everyone used a ps2 and that was probably its best game. MGS4 was a success and it wasn't marketed anymore than Killzone 2, simply because everyone knows Metal Gear. Socom confrontation was a success in sales even though it was huge disappointment. If god of war 3 averages...
This score feels like a 9.0 for any other game with a single player campaign. I like this score.
For the people thinking about renting this game, i don't think its a good idea based on the reviews that rate the game well. They tell you that you have to be willing to give the game time to appreciate it and learn more about it. So if you say its a rent, then don't even bother.

keep the heavyweight on the single player, but not on the multiplayer. Like the killzone 2, the multiplayer should be a completely different game where not everything from the realism of the singleplayer applies.
