True, but I don't think you can deny that consoles can get some awesome exclusives as well. Also, if the ps4 can get into the indie market like sony wants it too then it imo takes away one of the key reasons to own a pc.
Epic did say that the demo was basically rushed and not optimized very well. I didn't know Carmack said that either and if what he says is true then my excitement for next gen just got a boost.

Thank you someone with a working brain. A high end pc is more powerful, but the hardware inside of them are rarely utilized to their full potential. The hardware in the ps4 is powerful enough to make a noticable difference in games. Also, if developers are happy with the hardware then nobody should be complaining.
If Sony can get the last guardian and final fantasy versus 13 as launch titles then the ps4 will sell extremely well at launch.
Exactly how I feel. This was a great announcement. We got the specs, release window, some games and features. The price, the look of the ps4, the release date, and the BIG games will all be at E3.
Just because the game is releasing in 2015 doesn't mean next gen consoles would release around that time. Human Element just got started on development so of course it will take time to make the game. This game was never said to be a launch title or something. This article really makes no sense at all.

I think they said the main reason it is add is if you don't have surround sound or headsets that could pinpoint the sounds.
Your examples are good reasons to own one now if you want. But like you said if it's gaming only then it is not necessary at the moment.
Powerful, but this card will not be truly utilized for a really long time. Especially when not many people will buy this card and since next gen consoles will be releasing soon.
I buy a gaming console for games not for a cable box or the internet.
Uncharted 1 sold around 4 million copies and uncharted 2 sold around 5 milliom copies. ND games sell well that's a huge reason somy likes them. The last of us will do just fine though.
The ad patent sounds completely stupid. If this is put in it better have a turn off mechanic otherwise it will be a horrible mistake.
You will probably need a head piece of some kind. Most likely VR classes or around those lines.
When were Microsoft's real last big games. Halo 4 and gears 3 which released before uncharted. And now a new gears is all that is coming for 360 this year.
@ Jag yea check your facts. Gears sells around 5 to 6 million units not even close to 10 million. Also I should inform you that the uncharted games were able to sell around that much.
I'm sorry, but releasing only sequels and prequels to shooter franchises doesn't sound like much quality. How is Sony releasing around 5 games about quantity? Sony at least releases new ip unlike Microsoft.
Sony needs a good price with the ps4 and a great launch line-up to get the ps4 off the ground. Sony keeps saying the price is good and the launch line-up will be incredible, but e3 will prove them right or wrong. I'm buying one at launch either wag though.
