well, besides the fact that you can fit more on one disk, Blu ray has yet to show us why it is needed. Lets pretend the PS1 had DvD in the early nineties. Would it have made FFX7 a better game? nope. Would it have fit on 1 disk, yep.

Well, I never for one second doubted the medium. For me, that is the most important thing. And even though many people here like to make this a turf war, or an epeen contest, the reality of it all is that devs, working on all platforms, are pushing the medium to a whole new level.

lets face it, the picture quality is not great with the glasses anyway. 3D is a gimmick, and gladly people are working on real 3D innovation that will remove the glasses. Something that has been a burden for 3D since the 50s.

3D will be a new technology, when it does not need glasses, till then it is just a slightly better version of something that has been around in theaters since the 50s.
What 3D needs is not time, its the removal of the need for glasses. Then it will blow up.

650 cars, 27 tracks, WRC, day/night, invisible damages, customization...10 years ago.
I still play it now and then, it was such an amazing game, I love this franchise and I cant wait to get it day 1 on November 2nd, however the the comparison chart, they really should show GT2 in there, for the amount of cars it had was just insane for a game that came out over 10 years ago.
