I work in the retail end of videogames in Quebec, and what Rugbygod is discribing is simply false. I am a french canadian and I would be pissed if this was hapening in Vancouver, but that is not the case. Quebec however has its right to protect its french heritage, this does not affect the rest of canada, as he Rubgygod implies.
First thing first, this is only in Quebec, so this is like saying that you can`t get a certain game in all of the US when in fact its only in Texas that you can`t get the game.
Secondly the law is for packadging only, if the game is in english and not available in french anywhere else in the world, as long as the packadging is bilingual its fine. Sorry but comparing Demon`s souls and Dragon age is like comparing apples and oranges. However I will agree that they are both fruits. They play very diferently.
Sorry to tell you but atm, there is nothing like it on the PS3. So I would not expect a response on that, I would love to be proven wrong though. And also, if you have a PC and have enjoyed the previous bioware games on the PC then this should be a no brainer.
As for game mechanics evolving, I can assure you that Jade empire and the Kotor games have a play style that imho has not aged one bit, they are as deep now as they where then and that has been proven with Dragon Age imho...

And Chubear, if you have ever played Jade Empire, then imagine that with wizards and swords. It works well. Bioware have figured out how to handle their RPG`s on console at this point, it`s not like this is their first attempt at doing so. I find it funny that people have a hard time understanding this.
With that said, once the modding community is settled in, I will surely be grabing this for the PC at on...
I don`t know what else to say about this to help you understand it other then say that if you enjoyed Kotor, Jade empire or Mass effect, you should truly enjoy this game. It`s alot like their previous console games, but in a fantasy setting. And as I said, it is a very authentic straight forward mature fantasy story, think Lord of the rings but with sex and violence.
The reviews should start coming in and you will be able to read up on it alot more, but I can say with full confiden...
