it's $100 cheaper than the regular Switch, it's not pointless, it's purpose is to use the lower price to entice people that only want a Switch to use portably.

Yeah... No. Not only was LBP not the 1st level making game, Wrecking Crew on the NES was a game that had you play as Mario and it allowed you to make levels, it came out way before LBP did.

It's not for me. There's nothing wrong with PlayStation, I just don't care for a lot of single player games and prefer the larger focus on multiplayer games that Xbox offers.
I first got it on the Gamecube, bought it on the PS2 for the added content, then I got it on the Xbox 360, the achievements gave me a reason to play through it again and I've just picked it up on the Xbox One for the same reason.

Try doing it on a different account, you can just set your console as that accounts home console and share it.
It's true that Switch games don't see many discounts, but as you mentioned the used games are high, to me that can be a pro as the games value doesn't depreciate to nothing like we see happen with games on other consoles.
