What I really like about the article is the concept of using the thumbstick to swing a sword, because pressing a button is too convenient. What I really want is control schemes that are pointlessly complicated and require more work to do simple tasks. I'd much rather haphazardly stumble about with a thumbstick than efficiently press a button to do the same thing.
