i think we just need to wait and see
there are several point that come into play
1. thinks depend on the original contract with MS before EA brought them
2. we need to accept EA will make any game multi that they can thats just there thing
i enjoyed ME on the 360 but i think me2 will have to be multi disk i also own a ps3 so if it does go multi i will get it on the ps3 because i don't like multi disk but that a personal thing and for...
i think this will take awhile to take affect
hear in the uk internet speeds are poor most people get about 2mb unless on cable
but like 90% are on standard broadband like BT running through a copper network and it will take years and billions to correct this
so it might work one day but not for quite sometime
and perosnally i like haveing my disks so i can see it when i like
mate you keep saying price drop
i dont think it will matter that much because if one drops so will the
other so i think it will have a short term affect
also ps3 is more expensive and it is starting to sell better that the 360 in a few countrys
i hope it not true i like KH i dont own a wii and i dont want one
i was hoping for PS3 but i can understand why disney would pick the wii for the kids
i think the point to worrie about
is this going to start a trend because most company dont like to be the first to break a trend
until now companys would have worked around the issue ie maybe raising cost, limiting game, delay release etc
but if they think they can get away with it now they wont bother which is disapointing but with EA take the risk other smaller companys will risk it too
i dont know i thought blockbuster was blueray exclusive
they are in the UK
thats true just finished trials in ashford and have started the upgrade now all current large customers will be upto upgrade to 50 over time
isp are going nuts look at this for example
http://www.n4g.com/industry...
soon we will have no freedon on the net this is just the start of things
not saying pirating is good its just isps restricting what we can and cant do is just getting out of control
that maybe true but then in the modern world i expect journalists to check the facts and find out why investigate the issue
ask questions
but if it was a basic port issue then the owners on Tiscali would have a good case to complain to isp, game designer and sony for a fix
but this report has no fact to explain why the issue is there so i think it is miss leading without fact as to why
i agree man it is messed up with there upto rubbish
i was with BT since broadbad ie 500k
i upgrade to 8mb but all i could get was 1-2mb max so why make me pay for higher very poor
now i have virgin so far so good 20mb
we need to upgrade the UK copper network asap before anything can improve for the UK
if this is true it would also affect 360 version
very miss leading and i thought most 360 games where run on the p2p system i could be wrong
but i play all online game on my ps3 because i am to tight to pay for xbox live lol
============================= =============================== =========
this is not a fanboy comment as i own both systems i am just sick of bad and miss leading reporting
i love burnout very good game fill some gaps as there is not much i have wanted to play for awhile last game i got was uncharted
and i am waiting for dmc and i was board but very please with burnout
i have to agree the pricing issues are really getting to much considering most games are
£40-£50 ($80-100) which is just to expensive sometimes i missout on stuff because of funds
if they had the same cost around the world i would not care but as always its rip off UK
i know they say part of the price increase is because of translations but this is UK we speak english same as the USA remember we created english lol ( sorry small rant n...
its not just the usa that matters mate
and are c city not clearing hddvd stuff
woolworths is like one of the top 5 retailers in the uk so it matters to us
great news i am on the L 20mb package so i will auto get the 50mb when ever it gets hear in surrey
i think it is funny how PR try to spin stuff
i personaly feel if we keep getting moves like this everyweek
ie
National Geographic Goes Blu-Ray Exclusive
woolworths goes exclusive etc
things could be over when WB fully convert but only if we get a few new exclusives ever week
if stores like
whsmiths, HMV and game go bluray exclusive the uk market is over for hddvd
the only other one i never know about until the other week is blockbuster is exclusive which in my personal opinion means the store rental business is controlled
i hope they keep a sku on the market that still offers backwards conpatability
with the 60-80 on there way out that leaves the 40g which in the future will be to small with playtv etc
i know you can upgrade the hard drive to like over 300g but some people will have no idea how todo this
i cant say i am suprized the UK are going hard on bullying at the moment
and i can understand this move in someways because of the way the wii is pushed as a childrens machine
i find it hard to believe they have not picked a platform they must have a lead system for development by now
