Horrific and yet not at all surprising move from them
More so a sign of the times though. If E3 had of happened it would have been mostly the same games with a few more "megaton" announcements consisting of games that have barely just entered development and we aren't going to see for years. We are still going to see those games now just further along when there's something more substantial to show.
I feel we're better off without it. The ones most upset about the loss of E3 are the journalists that want it to justify their presence. Media has moved on from that. Outside of the US E3 also had bad presentation times meaning here in Europe we had to wait up until stupid o clock in the morning to watch them.
But probably best of all! Because we're getting the news rounded out over the year now instead of an expected date, more developers aren't announcing gam...
Love the attitude in fairness. They're only video games at the end of the day and delays won't hurt anyone. Once they've played it they'll forget about the delays anyway.
There are some other views here too though. Rockstars neglect of the GTA series in favour of cash-in multiplayer. Or Bethesda taking decades to make a new game that looks like every other game they made prior with none of the industry tech leaps made between those games.
Interesting to read a take on this from someone who suffers and recognises addiction. The outcry against these practices hasn't been just wailing for no reason.
However I wouldnt trust Microsofts vision to be against these practices. They've more than dabbled in them before and I doubt Activisions revenue forms weren't considered in the acquisition.
I would also mention that as enjoyable as this was to read, there's a sense of irony in how frustrat...
It's not often someone would determine themselves guilty now, is it?
Capcom heard our cries for a new Dino Crisis and gave us this! That Betrayal hurts bad.
I cant wait to play this game!
Well that was a waste of time 😂
I'll cry if they finally give us Dino Crisis.
Would love a new Clock Tower or Dragons Dogma 2 also.
Man! Capcom sit on so many superb properties
Yep but having Redfall, High on Life, Callisto, Stray, Forspoken, Hogwarts and presumably God of War to play is going to make that easy
Mr Cheese also makes a very good point. This may not fall on Sony at all. Though if it was genuinely going to run a cost up you might imagine Kojima Productions not looking to make it multiplatform for the same reason
They've obviously got more in the pipeline. Just nothing releasing within the 12 months
Avowed, Fable, Outer Worlds 2, Project Mara, Contraband, Indian Jones, Everwild and Project Dark just off the top of my head are all still unaccounted for
That's actually a good question. If it is an exclusive deal to Xbox will Kojima be able to use the Decima engine? He had his part in making it but I believe its belong to Guerilla. Maybe he'll work with another engine.
Possible. Maybe even likely but we don't know that right now either
More clever wording. Kojima or Phil haven't actually stated its exclusive to Xbox. The announcement was the only one that didn't mention any exclusivity in fact. It's a partnership yes but that doesn't mean it is only on Xbox. Bear in mind Sony recently made a deal with Microsoft and Azure to take cloud more seriously.
Maybe it is Xbox exclusive and maybe it isn't but right now it seems everyone is working on assumption.
I've stated that headline myself word for word already.
Bethesda couldn't fill a map of one country with enough points of interest. I'll be damned if they can pull this off.
Here's an interesting point.
They never mentioned his game would be exclusive.
@1Up
The way I read it, that article only seems to confirm what I said. It was written before the Xbox showcase so they didn't know what games were going to appear at all. It only lists what might have shown up depending on what we saw yesterday.
Next up - "Striking distance artists suffer PTSD".
It did happen the Netherealms guys
