I have to wonder how much of the interest is completely oblivious to the details behind the Xbox one. I work in game retail and I've had customers express interest in the console. In polite manner I've asked what they are excited for in the new console and a lot can't really answer because they know nothing of it. Word of mouth and hype between the ignorant will sell this machine
I know for a fact that the Xbox one will have a few games i will be really jealous of and wish I had for the Ps4 but with their current business practices I will not support Microsoft with the console. So while I watch their e3 conference in 2 weeks, no matter how many awesome games they may show my stance remains unless they backtrack on the drm, connectivity and kinect requirements
The only items you can get on finance in my area are televisions, so that's not an option here. I fail to see your point on people wanting items cheaper. Of course they will its in their best interest, don't mistake the poor economy for a cheap "society" next gen consoles are a luxury not a necessity so if people refuse to buy it a high premium that's not because they are all cheap

I think it's a sad state of affairs that it would have to progress that far in the first place. If a consumer is uncomfortable with the idea of their privacy being invaded by something like this then they should boycott the device to begin with. It truly is their own idiotic fault if they waste hundreds on a device they didn't even do the smallest bit of research into, but you are right I firmly believe a lot of people will buy into this without checking it out first

A lot of the most expensive phones are sold on contract payment plans though. That makes a world of a difference because you don't need to be able to afford it all up front
True. If you order something and it retails for cheaper than you paid you are entitled to the rest of it back in some form. However there are certain laws that if you order and it is more expensive than you were originally given a price for you are entitled to the cheaper price. This is just a safe bet for Amazon to prevent this I recon
Xtra vision have been taking orders on both the next gen consoles since January. A friend of mine here says he has ordered his ps4 from the Sony website too

I got up this morning wondering if the retailer would change my playstation 4 deposit into the new Xbox if they were to win me over today. I can easily say that is no longer a concern, I've already made the right decision
Uh let's see I want to know I can play trade games, free online, absolute game support, offline gaming, a price, backwards compatability and a smooth operating system. I realise we didn't get some of those on the ps4 reveal either. Like I said 15 exclusives is promising but how many of these will be kinect or arcade titles? Don't get thick with me because I didn't buy into it
