For now I prefer the PS Vita games, never minded the console I was playing on.
Went on saturday to our local toy seller (be) and 2 guys were giving demo's. It was surprising me that the games were almost sold out.
But then I saw that Uncharted in the store was like 4Euros cheaper than on psn.
I also grabbed the last 8GB memory card...
When you have a huge library of PS2 games and your 10+ year old console dies. What will you do ? Throw your games in the bin or get a new PS2 ?
iPhone opened up a gigantic market for letting people playing games that never would buy a console/handheld. Now I see a lot of those buying a 3DS or even a Vita...
PS3 + PS VITA + Remote Play = Game Changer !

sure it will play all games 'till the end of this console-gen (2yrs ?). But at what cost ? The price of a first-day PS3 (4years ago). And Win7 optional, hmmm, next year we have Win8 so will you already upgrade even if you don't have to ? One thing I have to admit: it's getting better again for pc-gamers: specs for win8 are equal to win7 and directx11 games still have to come out in masses so if you can leave your wallet closed, have fun with this 'budget' system for...

I would just say that Apple gets a lot of people to 'game' for the first time.
I know a lot of people who got their first gaming experience with Angry Birds and are now completely sold to games. Same I can say from Facebook-apps (Bejeweled anyone ?)
Before the existence of the 360, we never had this kind of discussions because each developer tried to max-out one console-platform and it looked brilliant.
