What's up with Dualshockers these days, first a flambait article about Resident Evil being a crappy series since launch, and now this, I guess you guys are desperate for hits, what a shame, I used to have such respect for you guys, ... well not any more
Quite surprised at how well RE3 sold during its first week in Japan, given that the lifetime sales for the title is around 3.5 million copies:

Does any seriously think Capcom gives a crap about what people say or think as long as they hit their sales target, think again, otherwise they wouldn't have abandoned their old fan base that easily, and as long as you enjoy what you play, does it really matter what others label "it".
I wholeheartedly agree with your review, finished Leon's, Chris's, and now in chapter 4 in Jake's campaign, as a old school RE fan, I really wanted to hate the game, but I ended up loving it, I still think Capcom has a debt to pay towards the survival horror fans, the ones who made the franchise this popular, RE2, or RE3 remake would be nice
"The attack included horrible acts of mutilation such as pouring boiling water on the victim and inflicting cuts and burns all over his body", i am guessing Resident Evil taught him this as well /s
RE4 is to blame for the series new direction, its success encouraged Capcom to focus on the action rather than the survival horror.
@Carl, bothered by grammar lol ok this ain't formal, so i am gonna write the way i want, the franchise only needs fixing in the eye of the old nostalgic fans, RE4 and RE5 are the best selling titles to date and guess what they are action based, Capcom will never change the direction again simply cause RE4 got too much positive reception from fans and critics alike despite being completely different from the so called survival horror ones, if the game wasn't well received at the time t...
@Carl nice of you to pretend that you even played the game, when all you do is bash it on every review, u even had to write a blog about it to express your frustration, lol, move on and try someone else man, this is just sad
Just finished Chris's campaign, since most reviewers pointed it out as the worst, and i admit it was solely action, no survival horror elements whatsoever, it is not for everyone, but i greatly enjoyed it and thought the ending was spot on, Leon's campaign however has many of the old school elements, really well integrated, the story intersection between the four campaigns was done pretty well, there is no way this game deserves 4.5/10, if you are an old school nostalgic fan, move on ...
Chris's campaign ending :'((, fitted perfectly thu, and i kinda saw it coming, really enjoyed his campaign, now on to Leon's

No i am not and i play lots of games, you just gotta accept the fact that there are people who actually like the game.
Gotta love how the negative review scores always have multiple comments bashing the game and hence higher heat than the positive ones, game is awesome btw, most fun i have had in a long time, and story is spot on as well
How exactly is Silent Hill the last great survival horror game, when the latest entry in the franchise got even lower scores than RE6, both are no where near what they used to be, Silent Hill 2, and RE Code Veronica, these were the golden days
@The Klank, everyone sang the praises for resident evil 4 even thu it was the beginning of the survival horror end, and it was the best selling RE title to date, if re4 failed, Capcom might have reconsidered the series direction, but the fact that RE4 and RE5 are the best selling titles to date in the franchise proves that Capcom isn't making any changes soon, and to answer ur question i loved the demo yes
Me too, gotta love how people decide to comment on the low score ones and ignore the 8 and 9 ones, to be frank thu i am getting it and fully aware that it is no longer the survival horror game it used to be, i am just gonna enjoy it for what it is, something which many others can't seem to do...
I am surprised by the amount of people who comment just to hate on the game, i have always found Play UK magazine reviews trustworthy, so this just sealed the deal for me.
To the author please edit Tekken Tag Tournament 2 score, it's 7 not 2 !!
I think it comes down to personal preference, and lets face it if it wasn't for live, Sony wouldn't have come up with plus, competition is good for gamers.
I actually thought the graphics were very good, I admit though, textures were pretty bad, also do you have any tips regarding skill point farming, so far I found chapter 5 in Chris campaign, the room before you meet Sherry and Jake the best, 20,000 in around 10-15 mins, but gets kinda frustrating.
