I rather just keep on playing BF4.
TF was more hype than substance.
No, their games are just better than most others in the SP department and compete well in the MP department as well.
Many devs could learn from ND prowess in creating quality story driven games while providing competent and deep MP.
They're just one of the most talented devs in the industry, plain and simple. Last of Us was brilliant. I've never heard so many people, even gamers that play online FPS/Sports 99% of the time, say it was the best game...
I see the battle for 60 FPS over 1080p (if such a tradeoff necessary), was lost to 1080p taking precedent.
Every SP should be made to be played twice regardless of difficulty. And thrice for those who like higher difficulties.
A slump suggests a decrease from success or some higher point, the Wii U never had a peak to slump from...It's more just failed to gain momentum.
Sony as a company overall is in a slump, xbox division is in a slump, Nintendo as a company is in a slump, Wii U however, is failing.
Wow, Nintendo is way more out of touch that I ever thought. I have no tolerance for the intolerant:)
I don't even feel bad they're failing now. Nostalgia being replaced with disappointment. It's like when I found out Mel Gibson was anti-semitic or Kramer racist.
If you think present day gamers are going to adopt cute mascots like they did Mario, Sonic, and to a lesser extent Crash, you are completely out of touch with modern gamers. The average gamer is like 30 now.
They'd sooner embrace Ghost or Captain Price from COD than some Mario-esq mascot.
In fact they already have, Master Chief, Gordon Freeman, Kratos, Nathan Drake are modern day mascots. Even those will probably fail to resonate with them as much as ...
You should always get mad at intolerance and/or group inequity. It's the only way to eliminate it.
I agree with Muazimus-Prime, what about being LGBT is not family friendly?
Is very disheartening that it seems the majority of N4G are intolerant....although, it corresponds to the way the world has been heading lately.
Shame.
Don't forget the cloud, it will make X1 more powerful than a $1500 gaming rig....according to MS, 3-4x more power from the cloud is what, approx 3.6 teraflops, add DX12 and you're getting close to 4.5 -5 teraflops of MS magic cloud power. Or is it PR BS.
My question is, if the cloud is so powerful why release x1 at all? If you can make x1 4 times more powerful, do it to 360 as well, make it a next gen console with cloud power if the cloud can actually deliver.
Sony didn't get the 8 for the price of 4, they just decided to go with 8, thanks to Cerny.
Similar to how MS owes 360s success to Epic convincing them to go with 512 RAM instead of 256, Sony will likely owe it's success this gen to Cerny convincing them to go with 8, instead of 4.
It's actually a weird similarity, both generation wins were the result of devs arguing against the suits claiming that doubling RAM would cost a billion dollars.
...
Hope it's good, the story sounds ridiculous and not in a good way, but the world traversal and gameplay show real promise.
I'm totally sick of it actually, I'd love to play in fantastical uber developed civilizations. More and more it seems gaming lost it's imagination.
Devs can make ANY world, their imagination is the only limit and all we get are major American cities, largely New York or some variation of, and either the future, present, or apocalypse version.
It's really easy to imagine way more beautiful/intersting cities than what we already have on the e...
I'd buy it at $30, never played it on PS3.
I heard that a number of people died last week (or was it this week?) in a China train accident due to a hacker, my first thought was Watchdogs.
And then today I was sitting in traffic on the way home and thought, I'd love to be able to change the lights with my phone.
I was thinking of getting a Wii U for MarioKart but then I thought, knowing Nintendo, the online will be utterly basic. So forget it. Maybe at $200 with a game.
I had R.O.B., which incidentally came out well before 32x, it too wasn't very useful.
Fond memories of it nevertheless.
If I was a company I'd much rather spend 500 mill on a movie than a game. A movie has so many opportunities to sell (theatres, disc, digital, rental, netflix, TV for decades). If a game flops there not much you can do to at least break even.
That every add on peripherals has failed gamers dating as far back as 32x.
Game looks like it cold be fun. I like super power games. Tired of just guns all the time.
