The Greeks gave Troy a horse to do what?
Greece = Sony
Large wooden hollow horse = PS3
Troy = consumers
HD player prices dropped as fast as they did because of competition. We benefited. Let's hope DVD or digital downloads keeps the pressure on the BDA.
I would imagine that the Planet Earth series caters to a more mature market, perhaps that's why it sells so well with the HD-DVD crowd who's not necessarily buying into a gaming console.
Granted that's not necessarily me, I have the HD-DVD add-on but I am 40.
Remember Xbox gamers had to suffer PS2 memory and performance deficiencies in multi-platform games too.
It's this BS that player manufacturers love, churn hardware sales.
Sure products evolve release to release, however, how many other consumer electronics makers have you known to pre-obsolete the products they are selling today?
THIS is why I won't support BD. Sure I'm not happy with HD DVD's unwillingness to work towards a unified format, but at least my options are on the table right now, I can either go 1080i or 1080p and know that everything else will work......
Wow this got overlooked!
Ever since the Opera browser went out of beta, I haven't been able to play videos including YouTube. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
In fact, just last night I installed the latest Opera browser on my friend's new Wii and videos don't work there either.
It's not necessarily about users liking PiP or not, but it's the studio's desire to support certain features within their releases, i.e., Disney and Warner's delay of the Matrix.
I bought Halo to play a FPS, not a squad or 3rd person shooter.
Also, many have not read the Halo novels and, unless it's properly done, won't be able to quickly associate how this fits into the Halo universe except that we're fighting the same bad guys...which just isn't enough for me.
