We always want more. Even though I have huge barrage of games, still I like to play the new ones a bit more than the ones I've enjoyed already (and could still be enjoyed).
Maybe it is the marketing? :) Working in marketing myself has lead to the conclusion (backed up by research) that such people does not exist who are completely immune to marketing.
Interesting article.
Steam offers value for money and the ease of use. That is eventually what we pay for. Making things we want easy and not paying too much from them.
I like Steam, I don't see any reasons to try its competitors.
"If you believe that video games can be art you should put your money where your mouth is and buy this game."
First time hearing about the game. Might actually be worth a try! Thanks for the review.
Combat system truly is one of the best aspects of the game. My only complain would be the camera on rare occasions.
What a way to start 2012! Clearly Game of the Year potential.
After so many reviews, I think I am ready to buy this game.
Nice review.
I've been really waiting the release of this title. I'm sure it'll turn out great!
Ok, here is then another title to my evergrowing games-to-play list :) Nice review
Well, all I can say that it is business. It will always be business and they'll know where demand and price will meet...
There just isn't enough gaming enthusiasts to make difference when majority of buyers have enough purchasing power and will to pay for the prices asked.
It is unfortunate, but it isn't unfortunate enough so I would be willing to skip that "next Skyrim".
Even though the game ends too soon, I think this one deserves a try. Thanks for the review.
I too, play my games on hard. I'm not saying people should not buy good games if they are short. By all means they're still good even they are short!
My point is that with so many good games on the market there are many other games to choose from. If I have to choose between two games, of the same genre, that are good. I'll pick the one which will provide more for the price tag.
Interesting review. Too bad the game is too short. With little more length, this game would have been in my growing games-to-play list.
It seems that lot of games are simply just too short these days... *shrug
I'd say if they would add something for the single-player in form of DLC, we'd have a perfect fighting game in our grasp.
The single-player experience is the only reason why Soul Calibur V didn't receive perfect score as a fighting game. Other than that, it is just excellent game.
The lack of control over the units may feel frustrating, but it does give freedom to see the bigger picture.
All in all a good game, but the mechanics force you to play the game with a little risk involved. My play-style with RTS games that I usually attack when I know that I'll win. Here, that is not always the case...
I have to completely disagree with this!
Achievements may not provide us anything tangible BUT they do fuel our basic need for competition. They give us challenges (well not all games, but many do).
You say in your article that "an actual “achievement” should be something that leads to bigger and better things, a Skill Point or the procurement of a special item." Why on earth is that? Does gaining items after chapter is completed in specific manne...
It is exactly like you said it. The multiplayer is fun, but the solo-campaign is just hollow.
I love how good the game looks though.
Thanks for the comprehensive review! I was thinking about buying this title and now I know should I or not.
It's nice to see that space shooters aren't dead yet
A solid fighter if you're looking for something CASUAL for the PlayStation Vita.
