Because more competition the better. That's what Microsoft is all worried and scared of. They been struggling against Sony forever in the gaming market. Now they see more competitors want to join in and like always Microsoft doesn't want to compete so they try to buy up everything in the market 🙄. Game Pass is just another excuse for them to buy up everything in sight so they can say you have no other option but to buy our product.
A price increase is not going to make it any easier for people to buy a PS5. It's already hard to find one right now. You just made it harder for people outside US to get one with this price increase when they've been waiting for the last 2 years since it launched.
