Gears Of War improved the TPS genre, the TPS as we know it, though, was created by Shinji Mikami, someone who really is talented.
Shadow Complex is just.. not even an improved version of Metroid or Castlevania.

If we remember, every Metal Gear Solid Title, is announced with a 8min+ Trailer, with Ingame Material.
Why is that so? Because if Kojima announces a game, he can already show what its made of.
