New hardware that doesn't use 5kw of power and doesn't second has a heater just to render better explosion and more pixels for less than $600 with 40% loss for the vendor the first year doesn't exist yet.
There is a lot that can be done with a mix of motion controllers, buttons, cameras and current hardware in terms of gameplay.
tried several games at GDC on the 3DS, and I am as well not convinced by the 3D effect. I was hoping more pop-out effect comparable to 3D on large HDTV with glasses, but it is far from this. It is way too subtle.
Let's wait and see if some games worth buying it.

I got this a few days ago because my version 1.0 doesn't want to switch on anymore...
It's lighter, smaller, good looking, more comfortable on the ear.
Other advantage over version 1.0 is that the USB socket is always visible, no need to open some plastic latch.
The only minus is that the stand is not great. On the version 1.0 it was a no brainer to put it on the stand on the first try.

I agree, and can't believe that after something like 6 CoD games, they screw up that main component.
MW2 felt better, why not taking the same network code that was stable after all the fixes and the same infrastructure?

way too much risk for Sony to work with a division of MS on one of their next gen console. Possible information leakage between divisions during dev cycle of one of their main competitor is not good in my opinion.
