The insinuation of reviews purposely sporting lower scores for clicks is exponentially more prevalent than actual reviews having lower scores for clicks.
Reviews are not science. This person did not like Fallout 4 as much as myself, or other reviewers. Scores don't matter, words do.
The generalizations are rampant here.

The idea that lower review scores are automatically thought of as clickbait rather than a tool to get a better idea of where things could go wrong with a game is emblematic of the issues with the gaming community at large.

Generalizations like this are dangerous. Considering that major publishers make a ton of the business decisions that affect players negatively, to suggest that some of the hardest working individuals in the tech sphere are lazy without using any explicit facts is arguably just as poisonous to the industry as the ideas you've suggested.
