Skyrim was very bland and felt outdated. Perhaps its the style of RPG they make but i think the whole game design needs an overhaul for VI.

I loved oblivion but found skyrim dull and a bit of a slog. I hope the next entry modernises the series with a bigger jump between games than was seen between fallout 3 and 4. The Bethesda design is wearing thin these days and with so many great open world games having been released in the last few years i think they need to up their game for VI.

Yes it was. Underneath that though was an absolute gem of a game. If more people took the time to revisit it now I think they would enjoy it.

I really don't like the direction origins has gone, its just go here and wipe out generic enemy base over and over. The combat feels awful and senu is the most annoying thing ever. I don't know if it's the setting for the game or if it's because of the open world but there is very little need to use and climb the envir...

I think origins didn't feel like an assassins creed game. I found the combat repetitive and boring. I think unity was the best in the series so far.

If only people would stop buying these games perhaps Sega would try something different. Personally I hope we get a follow up to Mania with all new content but what do I know.

Do you need to play another 3D Sonic that has all the same drawbacks as the other 3D Sonic games to be able to say this one is trash to? Most reviews are giving this 5 which to me is a trash score, no surprise really since it's essentially the same game as the last few. If I was Sega and I had a mascot that could rival Mario I'd want to produce games of a far higher quality that this, how many more mediocre games must they make before they realise that the current 3D setup isn't w...

Another trash 3D Sonic game to add to the list, not surprised at all. When will Sega learn that Sonic belongs to its 2D roots, even after mania they will continue with this on rails 3D nonsense. Mario is still successful today because it still plays essentially the same as it did in the 80s and 90s, even the 3D versions play like the 2D games. 3D Sonic is a monstrosity compared to the joy of playing the 2D Megadrive adventures.

This reads like the author is a mario fanboy.

They also announced definitive editions of AoE 1, 2 and 3. I hope Age 4 is set in the past and not a modern setting like WW1 or 2. Anyway, huge news and very happy.

is it just me or are all these limited edition consoles really uninspiring? Its basically just has Project Scorpio written on it. The Minecraft style S is much more what I would consider limited edition, it looks very different from the normal S.

The only problem I have with Sonic Mania is that it has ruined Sonic3 & Knuckles for me. Going back to my old favourite just doesn't feel the same anymore! lol

Finally the Sonic game everyone deserved after all this time! It only took the Fans to do what Sega couldn't all these years. So happy this game is finally here, I still play Sonic 3 & Knuckles regularly and now it looks like I have something new to play of the same caliber. Very happy, now make Sonic Mania 2 and 3.

Sega and Sonic team just seem completely incapable of understanding that what made Sonic popular in the first place was that it was a fantastic platform game not a speed runner. Sure the Genesis/Megadrive era of games made their name on the fact that they played faster than the Mario games but speed wasn't what made the game fun. When you play through the original games in the series you will realise there is quite a lot of time where your actually stationary, waiting for the perfect time...

Yes but why buy the next handheld if you own the switch. Its main marketing ploy is that it is also a handheld so why would you need another Nintendo handheld to play similar games?

I bet most are cheap throw away tablets and not the price of a new console. I know I'd rather give my kids a cheap tablet to bash around that a few hundred pound console.

All I'm saying is that im tired of titles being released that don't live up to their reveal trailers. I can't see Xbox one or ps4 having these graphics with a solid framerate.

Shame the final game won't look like the teaser trailer , not on Xbox one or ps4 anyway.

So will this replace the 3ds as Nintendo's handheld system? If so then I see them taking a big hit there as this system is far to big and fragile for real mobile use, will parents buy this for children to use outside of the home?

If it isn't intended to replace the 3ds then whatever the next Nintendo handheld is will be in direct competition with its own hybrid home console, seems a strange situation to be in.

When I look at this its basically a W...

I don't think it will be anything like PC upgrades, I fully expect it will just be whole new upgraded units but if they do go the route of additional hardware that you can swap in and out then it will be far more simplified and much more plug and play than PC.

The biggest obstacle for PC upgrades is having an understanding of what new hardware will actually work with your current setup and then knowing how to install it and then update any software etc, if Ms went this ro...
