All I know is that based on the videos I thought this game was a simple run up to the enemy and start hitting buttons. It is not.
I waited for my game to unlock at midnight, and I thought Id be playing for about 10 minutes. My playthrough lasted a good hour before I had to hit the sack and I was fully entertained. A win for me, another win for Platinum and a bonus cause it looks so sweet.
Now, give me an open world G.I.Joe game vs. Cobra and we are good.
Look, this series has supplanted any other series from Ubi for quite some time now, a close second being Splinter Cell.
They haven't screwed up ANY of the Far Cry's and I will be buying this one. Sounds radical and I need that in my life right now.
However, I would like an urban Far Cry down the line. Hardline attempted this and failed miserably so Id like to see the masters show them how its done.

No surprise, this game fell off my radar a long time ago same with Shroud of the Avatar. Although they seem to be toiling away on that one.

Its not AWESOME. Its cool. Its like a TT Game, broken apart so you need to buy everything at physical Lego prices.
To put it another way. This about ANY Lego game you've ever played.
Remember all those free characters that you used to get while playing? Now imagine you had to pay for every single one of them. But you don't pay a couple of bucks for DLC, you pay Lego prices as if you where buying the toy bricks.

I don't know, I love the series and based on the new things added to the game I fully expect to love them all over again. The site and the author are entitled to their opinions, although looking at older games with newer eyes is a bit distasteful. One cannot do that, unless it was clearly stated that a complete overhaul was taking place and I don't mean just graphics and a few mechanics, but like a total overhaul. Simple question: When does it arrive so I can start playing.
Cause it takes REAL effort and work. Not just a download from their servers.
So was I. But it had enough good that it supplanted the bad. The series got better over time anyway. But I sure hope they addressed some of these issues in the remaster.
