It's never necessary to "question someone's credibility" simply because they liked something a little bit more than you. They're just doing their job like you and I, no need to attack them.
The story and the immersion are the main investments. It's not a city meant to be messed around in, it's more an "experience", you're supposed to just play through the story and be done with it. The story in the first Mafia was amazing, so I'm still looking forward to finishing this one.

That would be valid if not for the fact that games journalists do not do "traditional" journalistic work. Everything is embargoed and fed to them to put in a digestible format, which is much better suited to personalities and pundits than investigative journalists.

Battlefield 3 will be on the frostbite engine, but it will also be on the huge scale battlefield 2 was. The Bad Company games are battlefield games that are much scaled down for consoles, and Battlefield 3 will be the full-fledged, modern battlefield we have been waiting for.
