The cry for this series to remain as close to the original as possible has to be one of the most pathetic, empty plights in gaming culture.
I get that people "want the horror back", but when was the last time a game was truly scary to you? Maybe a movie, book? You're not a kid anymore and chances are it takes way more than tank controls and (now) outdated gameplay mechanics to scare you.
